All characters and gear gone after EULA update on GAME PASS PC

Started GenerationZero on PC Game Pass version this morning jan 8th. The game prompted me to accept the new EULA from december 6th (as I recall). After accepting and entering the game there was no continue option available, only NEW GAME. All characters and gear are gone. Anyone else facing this issue on GAME PASS?

Is it different for ps/pc/xbox or normally the same? If there are differences: why?
