Hi guys, I started to backup some parts of Forum information in the form of a website that can be downloaded and viewed from your own PC/Tablet/Phone. I will not publish it on the internet, because that is costing me money. Personally, I think the the forum should stay open at least until 2030.
The website can be downloaded from Google drive (download icon on the top-right), then unzip it to folder on PC, and start it by double clicking the file “collections-menu.html”. Currently the download is 30 MB.
So far I have only backed-up some of my own topics that I want to keep, but am open for suggestions, of backing up other information that will be lost if the Forum closes. I will be adding more pages when I have free time and Enthusiasm.
Maybe some of you can make a page(s) about what you think important to add to the website. Or maybe some of you already have a webspace where this could be published.
Anyway, just showing you what I have been up to.

The link brings you to the “Collections zip file”. You need to download the zip file “Collections.zip”, and unpack it to a map on your PC. You can’t start it while still in the zip-file. Then start it by double clicking “collections-menu.html”
I mean, make a new map on your pc, name it collections. Then open the zip file and copy all files to that map. If you just open the zip-file and start it from there, it will not work.

I have been saving many pages into the Wayback Machine, but It’s impossible for me to know what information anybody would want saved.
On the discord sever I have already several links, to many of my pages, and other info that I thought people would like. But basically it’s the people there who can maybe help answer questions that anyone can have. We would love it if more veterans would join and talk about GZ and other things too.
Of course anybody can save pages into the wayback Machine website. For Pc, there also a wayback machine extension that you can install on google chrome that’s very easy to work with. Just Go the the forum page you like, check outlinks on, and press save.

@Thomas1 check back here when Madchaser fixes this. He the admin of the server. when you are invited, you have to wait until you get reading rights as well. But you can talk in the Home channel. This is done for security. Hope you will join.
