How do I equip armor on companion?

I have this ‘notice’ telling me to build and equip armor on my companion. I’ve built it, how do I equip it? I’ve been trying to figure that out for 2 days…

You install it at the stations that you built the companion at. When you open the station you’ll see the option to craft it. Then configure the pet and in that menu is the option to install. NOTE armor can only be installed at stations so far.
