2023 - Invisible Enemies for Host [PC]

Hi Support Team,

Would be great if someone could look into this again. By “this” - I am referring to the invisible enemies issue that many folks have reported. Essentially, clients will see enemies that are invisible to the player hosting the session. These enemies still engage with the host (target, try to run towards them) however the host player doesn’t take any damage, cannot see their gun fire or the actual enemy. We noticed this for happening ONLY for the following machine type: Harvester, Tank, Wolf and Firebirds. Firebirds are particularly annoying.

My friend and I get this issue EVERY single multiplayer session. We are trying to push past this issue but this particular one really takes the fun out of the game especially when you are facing a LVL4 Firebird rival that only you can see but not your friend.

As mentioned we get this issue EVERY single session so we would both be happy to jump on with the dev team to help them investigate. Happy to jump on a Zoom call or whatever is needed to help them collect diagnostic information to finally resolve this issue.

My specifications are:
CPU: Intel 13900k
Memory: 32 GB DDR5
GPU: GeForce 3080 Ti (12 GB)
HDD: 1 TB NVMe SSD
Internet: 1 Gbps (down) / 50 Mbps (up)
Windows version: Windows 11 Home (22H2) - Build: 22621.1848

My friends specifications are:
CPU: Intel 9600KF
Memory: 16 GB DDR4
GPU: GeForce 2070 Super (8 GB)
HDD: 1 TB NVMe SSD
Internet: 250 Mbps (down) / 50 Mbps (up)
Windows version: Windows 10 Home (22H2) - Build: 19045.3086

Are you both using wifi or cable for internet connection?

Me and my mate, both on ps5 (cable, 100mb/s down, 40mb/s up) just had this a few times in about 2,5 years… And just with single hunters.

The host is using a wired connection. I am on wireless but I have commercial Ubiquiti gear so I doubt that is the issue.

When I run speed tests I am getting ~450 Mbps / 48 Mbps over the air.

I’m just guessing that it’s not a matter of speed, but a matter of stability of the connection. If there are too many packages that get lost, you could have more sync errors.

The risk for losing data packages is higher when using wifi.

Will try a wired connection just to be sure and report back.

I hope it helps at least a bit.

Just wanted to update this thread. There seems to be another issue at play here for my friend where game assets don’t render for him until he is incredibly close to them.

I am not sure whether this is related.

Agreed… just ran into this tonight! There was three of us all on xboxs and only I could see the entire army… two firebirds, a half dozen hunters(some named) and a bunch of dogs… they all focused on them while I stayed back and recorded the whole thing  was absolutely chaotic! Fun but crazy. The only thing they could see was the ticks being dropped.
