6/19 twitch stream - June update sneak peek!

I wanted to share some things being fixed with the upcoming June update from Avalanche  Some of these have been very hot topics!

  • All main/warboard missions will be fixed, and lots of side missions

  • Tweaks to explosive damage, sounds like a buff

  • Tool boxes should no longer be empty

  • Machine loot is being increased, they will drop more ammunition

  • Tanks/Harvesters have better chances of dropping special items, no particular items mentioned

  • Game progress made in multiplayer sessions will now be saved to your game and should not be lost when returning to solo play

If you want to rewatch the stream yourself to hear all of the details, here is the Generation Zero twitch channel! The patch notes have not been released yet.

Strangely enough ive never had as much ammunition as after 1.06… Im having to leave behind alot of it just because i cant carry it. Granted i have 2/2 Salvage perk but finding containers that contains 50 to over 100 smg and 7.62 rounds is not that uncommon for me. Im carrying 11 weapons and have plenty ammo for all of them…

Im guessing the maxed out salvage perk and the fact that im playing solo is the reason behind this.

Would like to see explosives buffed up again though…

What about stashing stuff in secondary characters, shall we recover it before the update to not loose it ? If yes, do you know the update’s date ?

@jomjom79 I’m in the same boat there, all my characters inventory’s are full of ammo and extra weapons.

@Bazyl nothing was mentioned specifically in the stream about updates regarding the 4 characters we have. The exact date of the update has not been released either.

Hopefully this fixes the issue of all loot containers being empty.

I hope! I tried asking about it during the stream but I didn’t get a good confirmation for that specific issue.

Yeah, I saw that and I appreciate you bringing it to them like that. However, the impression I got from their answer is that they’re oblivious to the actual problem a lot of people are having. Every time it’s been reported on live streams, it’s been dismissed as being only due to the loot spawn timer.

Hopefully whatever they changes they made on the loot boxes gets carried over and also fixes the problem.

Sounds like a serious issue. I couldn’t find a post about it in Bug Reports, think you could make one and perhaps add a video and/or screenshots of the bug happening? It would help tremendously, I think.

I think it’s been mentioned a lot in comments on posts regarding loot issues. I agree it might not be a bad idea to create your own bug report Crunch, so the exact problem has it’s own post if it does not already.

Not sure how many more times it needs to be reported and ignored. This is only a sample of the bug reports I could find where it wasn’t directly related to loot timers, and just on this forum. It’s always dismissed by staff as being a loot timer thing. Basically, everyone who’s reporting this is being assumed to be a malcontent loot farmer that can no longer farm the same areas and staff dismissing as being “intended” behaviour by loot respawn timers, even though people are clearly explaining that they’ve either waited out timers or are going to new areas and seeing empty boxes everywhere. If you scroll through Steam forums, it’s more of the same. The problem is being dismissed as just people being impatient. There are several Reddit threads about it as well. Although I’m not really a Reddit user (occasional reader at best), so not sure if Avalanche has actual staff there or not. If they do, I can bet it’s being dismissed and ignored there as well.

And of course, it was reported in the live stream 2 weeks back, and Graham and Matt both outright dismissed it as being loot timers and didn’t take it seriously. And you brought it up today @boston_51, and they didn’t take it seriously there either.

The reason I haven’t started yet another bug report is that there are a ton already. I’ve added my piece to each of those reports already.

The developers are not ignoring the issue. But since the issue being similar to that of the recent bug with toolboxes and the respawn timer it’s difficult to discern which people are referring to, and if they’re even connected.

It’s possible that all of this is corrected with the June patch, but if it is NOT, and you still encounter the issue then make a report on the Bug Report forum and we’ll see that it’s forwarded to Avalanche directly.

That’s all we can do is wait and hope. As I said in my previous post, hopefully the issues are connected and the fix for the toolboxes will have a spillover effect and fix the unacknowledged problem.

@boston_51 Is it decided yet on what day the june update will release? I can’t find any info about a date anywhere. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry if I missed some information but when is the next patch due?
Edit: Sorry, can see you have already answered that.

No date is given. However, they said “before the end of June”, so expect this coming week. What day is a mystery.

Based on the weekly stream’s i think it’s fair to say wednesday 26th june we will have info on a date , seeing as by then we only 4 days left till july . .

I just hope the ammo bug preventing anyone but the host in multiplayer from finding ammo is going to be addressed. I would like to be able to play multiplayer again.

It’s never been acknowledged as a known issue. I’ve been hoping for that since launch, but no dice so far. Hopefully now that they’re messing with loot tables that will sort itself out.

Maybe there’s a chance it will unintentionally be fixed with the loot changes they’re making? I hope so at least!
