I have a mission to get max inventory of stims which will take a while but once I’ve acquired most of them I’ll start making requests available for those that need them the most I’m limiting a stack per player only as it would make the game far too easy and make the receiver quite toxic.
This adrenaline charity will being on the 14th of February 2020 and will run until I run dry
(The max inventory can hold 800 adrenalines)
If split stacks are allowed I can cover a larger community with less adrenalines given out
(Also just realised this is basically medical drug dealing within the game)
@Zesiir is this considered exploitation hence the players are not earning it but accepting it as gifts instead? It’s essentially what I was offering to players on my past topic page and it was deemed exploitation.
The player assisted is given the adrenaline shots. Unless they farm them like he has then it’s acceptable. If you don’t mind @MFO-Abyss can you please be more precise on the process? Just saving the trouble of grief from one friend to another to avoid a report of exploit from someone it may upset y’know.
I think the issue with your attempt at helping people was you were giving away items and using a save exploit to keep it for yourself.
If someone is giving away legitimately farmed items and not doing anything shady to keep themselves from actually losing what they gave away, I dont see what the problem would be.
Correction, everything I have is earned legitimately @kakarron. I simply offered to drop it for those who lost gear after save data corruption. However I had a backup save data to keep my gear. No more, no less. My inventory suffered zero change nor benefited.
The take I have on it is that @MFO-Abyss is offering to be a field medic and after collecting the shots, will join others games and hand them over (important part is hand them over).
Reverting back to a previous save after handing off the items is really playing a weakness in the system (albeit with the best of intentions).
My son got a corrupted save and after he joined us again he got handouts from me and my other son to get him kitted out again. It is good to share.
Neither of us giving stuff away would skip back to an older save though in order to get the handed over stuff back. We had lots spare which helps but just see it as part of the game (someone died and lost everything).
Essentially that is the same thing I offered to help on the forums and they considered it an exploit to give people weapons that they lost through regular means. Technically that quote above of yours applies to the general topic. If he does have the medic field unlocked and he hands out the adrenaline then I do not see that as an exploit because he does not need them. From what I gather is that as long as there is no duplication without regular legitimate means then it is acceptable.
If there is no save file rollback then how would it be any different than joining a multiplayer game and dropping some items (whether the other players are friends or not).
If sharing is an exploit then why is it available ?.
If sharing then rolling back a save file so the sharer has the times back again then yeah, it is exploiting the system.
If the items you were giving away were leaving your inventory and would never return (by reverting a save file etc) then not sure why it would be seen as an exploit.
But… I am just a faceless commentator on the internet, for what that is worth .
No you’re right, I’m not challenging it. Just wanted to know how he does it. There’s two methods, legitimate or non legitimate. If it’s legitimate then it’s fair play obviously.
Where in God’s name do these people find them? I have never in 350 hours ever had more than 26 adrenalines in my possession at any one time, and I don’t die much. Mystery to me…
Up until recently I think both backpacks and military crates had a decent chance to spawn adrenaline - has this changed? I carry one stack of 20 at any time, which is more than enough. I don’t really see it as a “scarce” resource…
Never seen one in a Military crate! I find most of mine in backpacks in cars - they should be in bathrooms, oh, and the med centres of Bases (obviously).
@Bootie@RimBlock@Aesyle@RighteousTheory@ameinild It’s nothing shady at all just one persons high attempt to help the community I’m apart of and it’s those people that keep this game relevant
(Also your right it’s being a field medic but also not save glitching that kinda defeats the objective of giving and where’s the fun in having unlimited amounts
The large ones - not the smaller ammo boxes, but the green (I guess wooden) military crates - they often drop accessories, including adrenaline. These ones:
