Ive played this game for ages now and i have this question, what happens when you loot every thing(ammo) and coming back to that place and it hasnt respawned in conclusion not having any ammo in the world left. And being left ammoless
There is a timer being implemented in the next patch. After a couple of hours the contents of containers will re spawn.
I dont know if they will be the exact same inventory as it had before, or if it will be randomized. The patch notes should let us know next weekish.

also , some bots will respawn (in some places) , so the ammo can be looted from them too.

You can always just go to a safe house, exit the game (completely, not just to the main screen), and fire it back up. All loot will be reset like it was before.

I do play solo, but my regular daily play is coop with a friend, and he hosts. So that means I get next to no loot drops.
So before our regularly scheduled 8PM game time, I’ll hop into the game and travel to Uttern Bunker. I’ll run through it a couple of times (shutting down between visits) and loot the place to stock up for our later coop game.
Even when going out solo, I’ll typically hit up Uttern once before heading out into the world to run my missions.

If you fast travel the items don’t respawn unless you travel far enough, stay too close to the area and it stays looted.

That works currently in many cases. However, that will be changed in the patch from what they said in the live stream this week. Items will come with a spawn timer of a couple of hours. to prevent people from doing the fast travel back and forth to loot.

I was just clearing up how it works on the current version so they can range a bit further afield and get some loot until the patch drops
