I would like to see a pay DLC with a mode that you are only offered the DLC when you reach a set skill level and it needs to be in the 3 digit skill level. This will be a reason more players will continue to grind for points.
When you activate it, the machines are smarter and they use tactics and do a little planning to set up ambushes and that includes all machines.
Send out small squads of seekers to scan the area, they don’t send a tracking signal back every so often, the machines send another squad of seekers to that area to find out which way the players are moving and so on. The 2nd squad could also send back data on what weapons were used to destroy the first squad. Then the machines plan an attack all the way to luring the players to a trap. The players are always on alert when they see seekers, knowing what is to come. If it is RNG and not just hunt here, expect ambush here, like a lot of the machine placements.
When you stumble on a lone machine, as soon as it detects you it lets all machines in an area where you are. But they don’t just blindly attack. Think hunter snipers set up where you spot one but another hits you in the back side. They only flash their laser so it is harder to spot them. Machines have a stealth mode where they reduce their sound and turn out all lights even in combat mode. Only the player’s sensor picks them up but greatly reduced or by sound, but the player would need to be very stealthy.
An add on to the story as to how all the military was wiped out. An elite special unit of machines that were the first wave attack, what we have been fighting is less capable machines. The elite force has finished the first swipe of the island then near by islands and returning to the island due to the resistance gaining on fnix.
One can only dream! to $$$ in employee hours to design.
