Ok so this place has always been a good spawn area, but harvesters are running wild these days. Since the update, there has been at least one harvester there every time I visited, often tanks also.
But this time there were 3 harvesters altogether - poor things!
Oh, and another thing: Is it just me, or has the AI improved with this update? I think I’m getting my behind kicked a little more than usual - or maybe it’s because there are generally more machines.
It is just you, i think. I’m playing on Guerilla (hard) difficulty and machine AI is same as before. Only the amount of machines, their armor and dmg output has increased (due to higher difficulty).
I also got 6x FNIX harvs at the same time at that loc, where one of them was lvl4 rival.
Screen shows only 5x dead since 6th one was under the cliff. Went closer for better screen but once the 7th FNIX harv (lvl 1 rival), seen at the right edge got closer, my game crashed with error report.
I was on my way to find a new safehouse location and came upon excessive amounts of harvesters… like Devs I know you need to have fnix protect their locations but this is a little overkill! What of importance needs that protection!!!
Since this isn’t a bug, I’ll merge this with a similar topic so it can be discussed there. If you guys think this location is too unbalanced let me know and I’ll move this thread to #feedback-feature-requests.
Last time i was at Anl 118, i had there: 1x apo harv and 4x apo hunters (it’s guards) + 6x FNIX harvs and 18x FNIX hunters (their guards). 7x harvs in one spot is the most i have ever seen in GZ.
And of course, i didn’t engage them. Even for 4x experienced players, that machine armada is too much on Guerilla difficulty, let alone for single player.
Not all harvs are visible since some of them were behind others.
While initially, unlocking this safehouse may seem impossible task, you always have 2 methods of unlocking it:
Get in prone and sneak your way past machines.
Leg it (sprint) past machines. While they do engage you, they can’t get inside the safehouse itself.
I like these kind of hotspots since you can remember them and when you even want to test your skills against machine armada, just travel to the hotspot and start shooting.
I remember my first time there we were taking on a group of level 4 apoc hunter rivals, about 3 of them. Plus 3 harvs and a tank. Never had THAT many machines, would love to fight that. But we entered through the forest from the south. I think i once rode my bike through there on my way to the collectable west of it. 3 harvs, and 2 tank.
