Assignments? It looks like dailies / weeklies are soon to be thing in GZ

Apologies if this is already on here, but I can’t seem to find anything about it other than on Twitter.

What’s the general consensus? I can’t say I’m enthused tbh. Not my sort of thing at all. But I’m looking forward to hearing more about it.

Fingers crossed there’s something to make it worth while, but as I’m currently swimming in ammo / crafting materials and guns I’m not sure what the reward could be?

Also not sure what to think of it yet. But it seems like online battle missions. I was hoping for single player missions too.

Is there a way to sign in on consoles? It’s signed in to second extinction cause I got that game on steam, but I have GZ on PlayStation and it doesn’t recognize it.

Personally, I hate daily events. Having to sign-in and play to avoid the “fear of missing out”. It doesn’t matter if I play daily already, the feeling that you “have to” turns it from being fun to being a grind. (Hell, and this is coming from someone who grinded for the US weapons and Gnome masks.)

So, I’m intrigued, but at the same time a little unsure about how this will pan out. It may turn into nothing. I mean, how long have we had prestige points after all.

Not yet as far as I could tell. Although you can link it to a Twitch account, which links to your console accounts. Not sure if that links them or not. Probably not.

So I have to create an account on purpose?
I don´t understand why it would be made that way.
Is it that difficult to just bring quests or missions and the only requirement to be the need to be “Online” and not offline?
Most games are like that.
Why complicate things?
I hope the rewards are nothing you can´t already get ingame.

My thoughts exactly. Why do we need to hand over emails etc. just to play a game we’ve been playing for years?

Time for another email alias  I don’t understand the for another account as well. Everything requires an account nowadays.

Just put the missions/quests into the game so anybody could play it offline as well. Since I don’t play GZ daily I will probably skip this anyway. The sad thing for me is that development time was “wasted” (from my perspective) for this feature. I really do hope the devs did their homework with the other missing features like Plundra sorting, lost sounds etc. and don’t bring this instead

This. :+1:

Agree, a game that still has so many bugs and missing or incomplete features and they loose time with this?

It´s like i´m building a house, the walls are missing but i´m wasting time if the walls should be white or yellow.

Interesting read.

However, until tomorrow’s dev letter, we don’t know if making account in Avalanche Apex Connect is required to get daily missions in GZ or not. Until then, let’s hold torches and pitchforks at bay.

I need to sharpen them first anyway :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:

I agree.
Until then our domesticated Hunters and Runners should await orders inside the respective barns.

This is sure a corpo move on data gathering and an attemt to create an eco system.

But this wont work, your games are just not good enough.

Good luck anyway

I like the idea of daily missions because I do get a bit bored sometimes in GZ. However, I hope it is single player stuff, as I do not have xbox live gold so no multiplayer. @OBiW4NSHiNOBi I hope it’s not more of the same stuff too, since I have all the ammo and guns that I could want. But there are a few attachments I would like… There are only a couple though, so I would want a bigger reward.
