Fmtel has been very strange this week. Firstly an XBox update reset my console in the middle of playing (no warning) and when it came back up there was a different set of assignments which only gave one point in total. Consequently I sit here on Thursday with a grand total of 4 points and not 18. Today the assignments refuse to appear at all, despite numerous game and console resets. As a last resort I disconnected my Avalanche account with the intention of immediately reconnecting but the account status just reads “logged out” without the option to reconnect.
How do I reconnect before it permanently deletes all my bases etc?

In the past, if the connection got lost, I just restarted the game. Quit to main menu, quit the game, start the game and connect again (If asked to). Bases shouldn’t be connected to the apex connect account. At least it never took effect on me and my bases, just fmtel.
But it’s been a long time ago that I lost connection, so maybe it’s not up to date.
By way of update…while typing the original post today’s assignments arrived. Having now completed those each assignment has awarded 1 point so after 4 days I now have 7 instead of 24. That needs fixing.
On your suggestion I have restarted my Xbox for third time today in an effort to connect with Apex to no avail. I think the confusion is that I didn’t “lose my connection” I disconnected it under the settings tab in the Main Menu. It just says “Logged out” with no option to reconnect. Any suggestions?

It has been like this on PC/Steam since the update of last week.
After installing the update, I had a different weekly mission and all assignments yielded only one Resistance Point. And this should not be connected to the Avalanche Account, because I never made one and I have been playing for several years now and received the rewards.
So let’s hope that this only an intermittent and minor problem. Maybe this happens due to the new daily assignemnts and the devs are still reworking something in the background. I realy like these missions!

There was a time, when fmtel got updated to the current system, that you could chose on startup of the game to create a personal account or to use just a basic account.
This can easily have been missed, as you were able to continue simply by pressing x (Playstation) … In that case you got a basic account. Without avalanche apex connect account you wouldn’t have access to fmtel-station.
But maybe the devs have been working recently on a way to provide fmtel without the need of an avalanche apex connect account and a connection to such a server. At least that would explain why tackleberry can be logged off but do missions.

Well, now that you’re saying this … yeah, I probably made this basic account back then. It’s been a while … 
Anyway, it would make sense to disconnect the game from their servers. I also could not start the game two times this week: I was stuck with a black screen and did not even get the first splash screen. After poking around for a bit, the game told that Steam has to run to play the game (which it did). Restarting Steam mitigated the problem. So indeed there seems to be something going on in the background.
Yes according to the web page I am logged in still but game says logged out.
I’ll see what happens tomorrow at 1000 when the new assignments are due to appear and report back.
I’ve never had any issues with the account system, and I’ve played since the game existed lol, but I only have done assignments the last few years
Ok, problems with the account itself have solved themselves. This morning I was given the option to sign in so I did. However it seems that since the XBox hot fix of a couple of days ago the assignments don’t arrive at the FMTEL until 1100 instead of 1000. It’s been 1000 since inception so why change it now? It’s not a biggy but I will have to change my morning routine. Lol.
Also since the hotfix there seems to some different and more varied assignments, excellent, but again since the hotfix all assignments only award one point thereby making Tank award impossible.
Hopefully someone is still reading these forums and can put in a quick hot fix to the hot fix.
I seem to remember someone else had the “one point” problem on an Xbox so might this just be a glitch in XBox hotfix or all machines affected?
Looks like the problem with the FMTel-Missions only yielding one point is currently occuring on all platforms; I am playing via Steam and I am also getting one point for the assignments.
But I am now fairly consistently starting into a black screen on startup of the game. I then have to at least log out of Windows, because I can’t even close the game via Task Manager. Then after immediatly starting Steam and then the game, it will start without problems. Something is amiss here …

For which time zone are you noticing the 1000/1100 switch? I’m GMT/UTC-6 (CST) and I guess I failed to notice this. I don’t play in the morning as much so maybe I missed the correlation. I’ve been busy so yesterday was my first time playing in a few and did notice my Resistance Points had been zeroed and that I was only getting 1 point for all difficulty levels. Then this morning no update and very buggy.
Aah, not just me then. I’m XBox so don’t suffer the other problems you mention.

I am GMT (England) and assignments have always arrived, for me, at 1000 even when we switch to British Summer Time so this odd change to 1100 is not a problem but just a bit perplexing as to why.
Update: Today I have just started game (at 1100) to again find no assignments. I did notice that the timer in upper right corner of the still had 15 mins to run down. Now waiting for 1115 .
Thanks I felt like it used to be pegged to GMT as for me I could still do assignments after midnight here GMT -6 but wake up to fresh ones. Since 10:00 your time was 04:00 for me that all makes sense. Now it appears to be pegged locally? As my update happens at 11:00 or there about as well. While not nearly as irritating as the only one point for all assignments regardless of difficulty, thus making Tank tier impossible to reach, or the ever vanishing deployable items & companion, I do prefer the way it was.

I did fmtel yesterday, got my pitty three points for all of them, did fmtel today and started with 0 points again just to get my three points again. The countdown says something about 6 days and 12 hours.
And the fmtel-station says, that the missions currently are under maintance.
That’s weird. I still have my 3 points from yesterday and my countdown is 5 days, 16 hours (on PC/Steam).
Should be for me the same today. I’ll check later.
