During the sessions I’ve played with a friend we have taken on some FNIX bases and upon completing them only 1 ever dismantled the structures like it was supposed to. All of the other times the central pillar either stayed along with the other structures, or the tower disappeared but the other structures stayed. It makes it impossible to do any of the base assaults. Meanwhile at his outpost he has claimed even with the multiplayer settings enabled I was unable to build, repair or anything involving the structures other than open doors and interact with the structures found in safe houses.
This also includes existing base fast travel points disappearing for clients, FNIX outpost evolved or max level popups reading “control point taken over” for clients, and map markers for existing player or FNIX owned bases not appearing on the map.
Hi,
It’s a known issue since the last update…or since the companion arrived.
Or since there was control points. They have never worked correctly. Closes to not having to many issues was when you got the static bleep sound when approaching a fnix base.
I wouldn’t say that.
But you’re right. At the beginning there were many crashes if there were too many bases or if a client destroyed the command center (instead of the host), now the bases, no matter if fnix or resistance, aren’t synced correctly between host and clients.
But inbetween there was a time where they worked fine. A short time, but they worked.
I did not state it very well. The game had a brief time where the only issue was the bleep sound, that still exists, when you get near a fnix base. I play on PC/Steam
Back when there was only the resistance base, I had no issues I can think of and played the defense missions till all schematics were achieved and a few more after. Then came the control points that caused a lot of issues for everyone, all platforms. And other than a very brief time, has continued to cause issues in the game.
If the base defense/building would have been a loadable/removable DLC, then those of us that do not want the control points can remove them from the game. Which it doesn’t change the story or the lore if they are not on the map.
This is like when there were issues for some when the FNIX Rising DLC came out and ringfort had so many bugs. Players just uninstalled the DLC and no more problems till it was patched.
Seems a straightforward way to introduce latest content to the game would be to introduce it as a DLC that can be installed/uninstalled at will by the player. If it works well then, the Devs can make it part of the base game like the rivals, exp weapons and the reaper.
Not possible for GZ on playstation. Either you have it or not. You cannot decide to deactivate a DLC unless there is an option in the game or the DLC gets an own entry in the system, like Call of Duty (for example Modern Warfare 2) has.
