I was trying to upgrade my pvg but gold augment is locked, even when the challenge is complete
you dont have the gun parts. you have to recycle guns for those

Thats not the point, even with weapon parts it was still locked
ah ok, now I see what you mean. sorry I didn’t catch that from the start… haven’t gotten that far personally. I’ll check my bench and see if I get the same thing
I have several that are the same way but they say “X” unlock augmentation design" at the bottom/middle of the screen
I don’t see why it should be locked.
Your screenshot just says that you may unlock it even in gold level…but you won’t be able to craft and attach gold level because you need 500 more weapon parts.
A complete screenshot could help more, maybe.
I’m not sure as I’ve not tried it, but don’t you need to craft the bronze and then the silver before you can unlock the gold tier?
No. You don’t need to craft to unlock it. Have quite a few that I unlocked on login all the way to gold.
You have to go to your crafting station and switch to the augmentation tab.
It’s not possible by using just the research tab in the menu screen.
