I have tried many times to play with a friend of mine through invitations via in-game interface in Xbox one to no avail. I can play with different friends and random players but not with this specific friend. I can play every other game with him too but not this one. I uninstalled and installed the game, cleared my Xbox cache, created a new character and still nothing. I do not want to erase my game data. I am reporting this to atleast let other know if they have heard or have this problem. And if they have other solutions. Hopefully its only a bug that it can be fixed in later updates. I wish to play this game with a comrade and not by myself in this unforgiving world of destructive robots and low ammo count.
How are you trying to play with him?
Are you sending him invites to your game or trying to join him in his world.
If you can’t join him then get him to check his in-game settings. He might have his game set to solo or invite only. If either of those are enable them you couldn’t join him unless he opened his games up and invited you.
We have tried that too. I have invited him to my world and he has done the same to his world. And the game says that “lost connection to the session or its full”. If I invite him to my world the game tries to bring him in and then kicks me out out mine session and throws me back to my main menu saying what I have said before. If he invites me to his world the game says the same quote from before but I stay in the menu. We have also tried to have third member and try and invite us both in his world. It works but only for one of us. If the third member invites both, one of us will join the game but the other will try and fail to join. If invited again. The game will let him enter and kick the other player in session that is not the host.
