Its use is not very decisive, is it?
I think grenades are great for blowing up things, but also the smoke grenades for if you have to get away from tons of tanks or if you want to fight without being bombarded by rockets. Also, it is good to carry emps, to stun the robots
Definietly Flares to get them busy for a while and also grenades to get rid of Ticks and Runners and Radios for big Rival fights and or if you are playing with friends and they are with you in battle.
Radios will attract machines to a single location, making them vulnerable to traps like landmines or gas tanks. Also they’re great for general jamming out

Besides healing items, i also love to use Heavy Comm Array lure a lot, to bring the battle to me, so i can ambush the machines. Also, when i have Large Fuel Cell, i’ll also drop it next to the comm array, so i can blow up most of the machines who arrive in one shot.
Though, keeping the FNIX seeker (or any seeker) alive has better effect that any single use comm array lure. Seeker follows me around and is constantly blowing it’s horn, bringing more and more machines to me.
I played for a long, long time without realizing how effective flares and fireworks can be.
Especially fireworks can save you from a really hairy situation. If you’re surrounded by 5, or 10, or 15 Hunters, throwing a firework in their faces can give you the time you need to take cover and heal up, or reload your KVM, or just shoot them uninterrupted.
