Crafting doesn't work on PS4 + Feedback

At first, thank you for creating this game. It feels fresh to have an adventure in Sweden instead of the places which we have seen so much in games.

Me and my buddy started playing this few days ago. I have Playstation Pro and he has a regular PS4.

Here are a few notes from us:

  • crafting doesn’t seem to work for us. The stat of clothes doesn’t grow. Or that is how it seems to be. I have crafted my jacket plenty of times, but there’s no indication about the outcome.

Show the values for the players besides the color fill lines. For example, if I add bullet resistance for my jacket, I would be more sure what is going on if I see the base value and the outcome of crafting. This would be good with weapons and their accessories as well.

  • We want to craft bullets. We have plenty of basic bullets that would be cool to change as armor-piercing bullets. Like for example, I make one armor-piercing bullet and it costs me two regular bullets and a piece of steel.

  • We want to have bows! We want to craft Rambo style explosive arrows. Wandering in the forest is fun and collecting wood for arrows would be neat.

  • We have been wondering why we are able to open hoods of cars? We were thinking that maybe later we learn some ability to remove batteries from cars and make some emp weapons/traps. If this kind of feature is not in the game. We would love to have that.

  • We still haven’t figured out where all the civilians have gone. So this suggestion might be out of the question. We would love to meet locals who have been trapped in their basements. These people would give us more missions and so on. I would love to meet Swedish crazy Karl who shoots robots with passion, but would like to have some beer. Then we the players would go for a beer hunt for him. Just for example.

  • We strongly think that there should be a survivor mode as well. It would add a totally new layer for the game. Hunt food from forests, collect berries, find water and medicine. Keep the game characters warm. Staying too long in the rain would make them cold and have a flu. Then you could craft better clothes to protect the character from the weather. You could make a fire to warm up, but the risk would be attracting the machines. There are so many opportunities with this.

BUG NOTES:

  • The worst enemy in the game is getting stuck. If there is a roof near your head, the chance to get trapped is very high.

  • My friend killed an enemy and he saw the remains, but I didn’t and couldn’t collect the loot. This has happened a few times.

Hello, I want to add that when you play co-op, over time, the killed enemies start to fly up, you don’t even have time to search them.

Heyo, welcome to the forums.

Crafting was only just introduced, so far clothing items are only given a 1% bonus but that’s bound to be increased as the system gets developed further. If that’s not the case, feel free to make Bug Report.

Crafting ammo sounds fun, ammo is fairly common in the game but some rarer types could be cool to see.

It’s been a well-requested feature, actually. The devs are aware of this, so who knows

This was only added very recently, a bit before crafting was added. There’s definitely something in the works regarding this, I’m sure of it.

There are hints in the main story where civilians have gone. Some appear to have fled, but most seem to have… Hm, disappeared. There’s an explanation for it out there, if you’re willing to search. With the addition of NPC’s to Alpine Unrest, I’m sure we’ll see more of them in the future.

It’s another well-requested feature. Unfortunately the devs have clearly stated that they do not wish for this game to have these features, even as a separate mode. It strays too far from what they’ve envisioned with the game.

These issues are always improved on when there’s time. They get reported every now and then, and fixed. If you find any specific areas like it, the Bug Reports forum is the way to go.

My friend killed an enemy and he saw the remains, but I didn’t and couldn’t collect the loot. This has happened a few times.

It’s a known issue, and it’s being looked into.

Also a known issue. It’s been reported before, and the devs are looking into it.
