In my opinion, when it comes to the difficulty settings of the game, it deserves a deep dive and a lot of customisation for each player. Having to select the player’s health, his damage output, the robot’s health, it’s dmg, it’s accuracy and detection rate/range gives each player to play using his own set of rules and having a different experience every single playthrough. For example, having low robot health, but high damage output, could create a stealth playthrough. A player having the ability to create his own play style in game would be incredible and will have infinite outcomes! Please take this into consideration, I hope something like this get implemented into the game, as a player who loves stealth games, having the ability to play generation zero with my own set of rules will open a lot of opportunities for me and the entire community.
Although I’m no dev, I think I can say for sure that it’s not possible for GZ, because it’s no singleplayer game like others. Or at least it wouldn’t be a good experience in total.
In GZ every session you start is a multiplayer session, because it’s meant to be played with 4 players in coop. Yes, you can play alone, but there is no other difference. There are no splitted single and multiplayer modes.
In my eyes it wouldn’t be possible to have these detailed and different settings for each player in the same session.
But I could imagine that it could be a thing for the worlds settings. If you start a new world you could be able to set the mentioned options for this world and every player that joins would have to play with these settings. (Of course they should be shown in a detailed overview before joining)
I wasn’t talking about player specifics, but instead world settings, we are somewhat agreeing, though I am doubting they’ll implement something like this, since it doesn’t fit the game, but I hope they add something along the lines of my suggestion
I’d be satisfied if the developers would just create a basic “Hardcore” mode- with limitations such as (but not necessarily) no fast travel, carry limit of 80 lbs. (an approximate carrying limitation on human beings since antiquity, beyond which the body become increasingly prone to injury), limited ammunition in containers, very slightly more dangerous machines with a faster reaction time, and some other things. The basic idea has been tossed around for a few years now from time to time but has never become a reality. I’m not sure why.
