I feel like the ability for harvesters to constantly call in hunters is a bit op, so I think a good way to balance this would be to add a componen to harvs that has to be intact in order for the machine to call in hunters.
Absolutely … actually some player commented on a YT-vid from WIRED GAMING that there is some “box” between the launchers that does exactly that, but my binoculars don’t give any hint to that. I can only confirm that I have found no “box” that would be connected to harvesters calling in support.
But I guess the whole “calling in support” thingie is currently re-assessed by the devs anyway, so let’s see what direction they tone this feature.
sounds like a good idea. the never ending drop of hunters is the only thing really scaring me when starting any fight. 10 gas canister shooting hunters can make quick work of any survivor^^ and the flechette guns are also one of the most terrifying guns out there for me.
Yes, all these gun are actual nightmares to go up against
IMO hunters are way, waaaay worse than tanks
i feel ya
even though those rocket launcher dogs also can make your life hard sometimes
I agree tanks are big and slow but a hunter pack can wreck you easily me and my friend took down 2 apoc tanks easy then a pack of 6 came and smashed us
Crap, I forgot about those
rocket dogos they suck met a whole pack once
damn, that must have been cruel. im happy i at most met 2 at the same time (together with other doggos)
Ever met 4! and they seemed in sync so whilst one was firing the others were reloading it was a freaking missile barrage in the end we just respawned nearby and sniped em
I usually destroy all hunters / other posse and then disable the last remaining hunter’s weapons and make it a melee monkey. Then I just waltz around the harvester and when it’s gone, it’s time to mop up the last remaining hunter. Quite easy tactic with them (even with several harvesters).
Edit: If I’m having a trouble with too much posse, I lure them away from the harvester, pick them up one by one and back to the harvester(s). Divide and conquer.
I agree that this would indeed be the way to go if harvesters will continue to call in support. Absolutely relevant that you can destroy a module like this. The first thing I’m going to test out on the new release will indeed be harvester behavior, and this will be one of the things I’m gonna investigate for sure if they still call in reinforcements!
