Note this isn’t a WW2 weapon pack idea, but more aimed at relics of war and wars past.
M 1851 Kammerlader
A single shot breach loading flintlock the Kammerlader was used by finish and swedish military forces in the 1800s As such many of these old relics exist across the island. though normally using such old weapons would be pointless the high muzzle energy and tendency to smoke out the user makes them rather unique in a fight.
Function: creates a small smoke cloud after firing a shot blocking vision.
combat ability: is a single shot sniper rifle with a unique “ball cartrage” ammo
Ammo craft: lead + textiles+gun powder =10 rounds
HAND MORTAR
While in the olden days these would have been loaded with cannon balls and fused grenades, now days these improvised relics have been reworked to lob hand grenades at range, able to lob both normal and smoke grenades farther then one can throw them these things are a valuable tool.
the weapon is muzzle loaded, with the animation showing you loading gunpowder into it then the grenade with the pin hooked to a string. Yeah this isn’t safe to use but if it works. every 20 shots requires one gun powder resource.
STICK GRENADE
The only ww2 weapon on this list, the stick grenade is just that a sick grenade, comes in two types single head and 7 head, both can be thrown farther then the normal grenade with the single head doing less damage then a standard grenade, while the 7 head is more or less an AT grenade.
Unlike other weapons the player doesn’t get the cluster version in stash, instead having to craft it with 7 normal stick grenades.
I don’t see a use for such an old rifle. And if we use old rifle then I would rather se the Remington Rolling block rifle. Single shot. Gevär m/1867. But still useless in this game. But it’s almost as fast as a älgstudsare. But then you have to be extremly well trained in handling that gun. And that’s something our characters are not. I have both an älgstudsare and a gevär m/1867-1889. And I will never be as fast with the old one as with the älgstudsare. The 1889 version has a more modern cartridge. I also have an m/1860-1867 but with barrel welded. That rifle is an old kanmerladder rebuilt to use more modern ammo. Sweden was poor so they rebuilt a lot of kanmerladders so that type of weapon would only be found in museums. The 1889 version was a common hunting rifle up until the 60’s. After that people used modern älgstudsare but many many 1889s where kept as back up rifles. That how I got one. It’s my grandfathers old hunting rifle. He hunted moose with it.
Edit.
1889 use 8x58rd and the 1867 use black powder 12,7x44. It sounds big but is weaker than 8x58rd.
The old kammerladder got rebuilt to take the 12,7x44 cartridge. And that cartridge is the one used in the Rolling block rifle in Red dead redemption 2. But Sweden also manufactured brand new Rolling blocks for that cartridge. All single shot. But that cartridge was weak compared to the new military cartidges entering service some 10 years later. So they made the decision to rebarrel them for a new more powerful cartridge. The 8x58rd. They stopped manufacturing that cartridge 1960 since there was no demand for it. Almost every Hunter had bought better rifles based on the mauser by then. And the most popular cartridge for mauser back then was 6,5x55mm and it’s still very popular in Sweden for hunting moose. The Rolling block rifle works well in rdr2 butt I don’t believe anyone would use it in gz. To slow rate of fire compared to the älgstudsare and probably weaker stopping power. The 6,5 or the 270 in game has modern loadout powder but the 8x58 has an older less powerful powder in the cartridge.
So it would fit the roll perfectly, a weaker shot but has that smoke cloud that obscures you for a second. I know IRL the cloud was only on the paper cartrages but still would be a fun little mechanic.
More a gimmic weapon then something actually effective.
EDIT" why did it reply to my own post instead of yours…
In itself a good idea, but the stick hand grenade is only good in local and house combat, in the open it usually fizzles out and anyone who thinks they can throw a 7-head (so-called concentrated charge) further than a single one is wrong, they usually have it used to destroy combat stands or tanks as they could only be thrown a few meters. I don’t know the other weapons, so I can’t comment on them.
