A couple days after the release of Alpine Unrest, with PS4, I purchased the additional digital content and immediately after purchasing it stated “installed”. Wasn’t installed and after numerous attempts of trying to figure it out, I called PlayStation support. They wanted me to delete the game and reload. I followed their advice about 2 weeks after I installed the game and had about 30 hours of game time. It resulted in me losing all the data on the PS4. Hours of other games data was lost. I had them refund my purchase of Alpine Unrest. Can’t help but wonder if enough time is spent “debugging” the software or are you using us for that>
This sounds more like an issue to contact PS4 Support about. I can only guess why it happened, I haven’t heard about this issue from anywhere else, unfortunately. Anyone’s welcome to show me otherwise, though.
Edit: I’ll move this to Bug Reports, just in case this issue shows up for anyone else.
As I stated in the message, I did contact PlayStation support. Not sure who actually ‘sends’ the digital download. They suggested in uninstall Generation Zero and reinstall. They implied that a 3rd party actually provides the download when they said they would request a refund for me.
This is a ps4 issue .(something similar had happened and on me with steam ).And it also had happened to one of my friends ,while he was downloading a game . (He is on ps4)
This never happened to me on the PS4, just one more reason to have every game save data copied to a flash drive, wish good luck to all of those affected.
