DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG at seemingly random intervals

Steps To Reproduce: Difficult, if possible at all, to reproduce. This happens at seemingly random times during normal gameplay. Confirmed this issue can not be reproduced on all systems, as another system with different specifications does not experience this.

I’ve not had a problem with this game like this in the past where it straight up crashes completely. As mentioned, this happens seemingly at random with no obvious constants, making diagnosing hard to do.
My initial suspicion was something related to the physics engine causing the bug due to it first happening during larger explosions affecting rag-dolls, but this crash has also frequently occurred during “inactive” gameplay, throwing that theory out the window. The following is a list of scenarios where the crash has occurred:

  • Traveling through the landscape (on foot, on a bicycle, running from machines, etc)
  • Fighting machines (launching rockets, firing, exploding traps, getting hit, etc)
  • Exploring landmarks and POIs (walking past or in structures)
  • Managing bases (building structures, repairing, re-filling, etc)
  • Managing the character (inventory management, equipment management, etc)
  • Being idle/AFK (This only happened once so far)

PS: It seems the crash reporter doesn’t function as intended; it collect dumps and logs and gets a HTTP 200 from the server, but fails to send it due to negative priority unless “additional details” are filled out. :tipping_hand_man:
