Easter Eggs Compilation

Moved to easter egg thread.

//Mod

It was said that the Showdown Update would also include an easter egg.

So far I haven’t seen people suggesting what the new Easter egg could be.
The only thing that stood out for me was a magazine on Aspholmen, but I have no clue to what it is referring to. What do you think? Or have you other ideas for what the Easter egg could be?

I do see a resemblance with the picture below.

So the Magazine Mkay is pointing to South Park (Mr. Mkay), that seems plausible.

The magazin is a play with names as much other in GZ.

There was, I think it’s gone today, a teen magazine called OKEY.

Maybe, but is the magazine the easter egg?

The pale red rektangel says “He splits the supergroup”.
A little internal mockery of who it is on that cover?

Is this some sort of an Easter egg or just a glitch? It wasnt smoking until I laid into it…then I stopped when it didnt move. Just standing there by a picnic table…no sounds no nothing. Sorry for the crappy pics…pics off my TV screen.

I don’t think you could ever have seen it moving. This is a Hunter who self destroyed after his job with Tatiana was finished. And it is always smoking and sparking. Read up Tatiana’s lore. :sunny:

Tatiana was shot by Bolshakov in Underground Station C (red building on picture) Tatiana managed to crawl out of there and up to the hill, where she passed out. When she came by a machine was there and talked to her, It had fixed her shot left knee and gave her a leg made of machine parts. The machine told her its name was FNIX. Then the whole story unfolds leading to the nuking of the Skinnarbol Facility where Bolshakov went by underground train.

Ahhh…interesting. I feel bad for shooting it now.

Thanks Gysbert.

Is this the first passive enemy in the game? I remember another non-hostile hunter, but I don’t remember where I found him, or if this was a bug.

I can’t remember another one. Do you have more info about it? Like where it was, mission related, etc.

Just a green hunter on top of a hill, that’s all i remember. Sorry man, it was years ago, and i MAY have been sleep deprived at the time, but I’m telling you, it’s out there…

Well this one is green and it’s standing on top of a hill… so… :man_shrugging:

ChatGPT did the job for me.
It says:

“Why are you reading this? This is nonsense data & you have too much time. Trans rights.”

Great!

There was an entry in the “Beautiful Hikes” series about a red room possibly being a Twin Peaks reference. I found it last week (before I searched and found that thread), and I am 100% certain that was the reference that was intended. Weirdly, I found it the same week Lynch died

I don’t think it’s been added to this thread yet, but I might not be searching correctly. If not, please LMK and I’ll post location and screenshots.

Ah-ha! Found it again. At coordinates 680,-956. This is most definitely the cabin of Jaques Renault as featured in the 1990’s series Twin Peaks!

  • Leo Johnson’s red car parked out front (although in the show, Leo drove a Corvette)
  • red drapes on the inside, which mimicked Agent Cooper’s dreams and the black/white “Lodge”
  • chair and lamp arrangement just like the “red room” in the Lodge
  • the record player the was looping Julie Cruise’s “Into the Night” when Cooper and Sheriff Truman discovered the cabin
    Nice little reference!

Yes very nice reference. I have most of the Easter eggs marked in orange on my Memory Map, although some are hard to mark exactly. I always thought that the Måsskär cave with the grave and damaging water, was also an easter egg, but no reference ever came to mind.

You know that that there are more GZ locations that have the same red glow in the night and the same, sort of, inside Red Room look? What’s that about, you think? I don’t know the Twin Peak series, so I don’t know if more such inside decoration featured in that series. I marked them all Red Room. :coffee:
