I’ve encountered the same issue on xbox one. Got game via gamepass.
No machines spawns…so are stuck!
Only solution is what?
Any difference playing it installed or cloud? I play cloud
Load new world then go back to original, if that doesnt work then just play the new world.

Tried that…got some spawns, but killing them didnt count

Well, that kinda sucks, I already spend 2h into the game (I’m a completionist, Looter and Explorer), so at the point I had reached the farm, I was already 1,5-2h into the game. It would not be hard if it were just a generic side mission, like the Hunter one, where you get the Rifle… but for a Main Mission it’s still bad.
Even if I now skip all the Exploring and Side Missions for the beginning and get straight to the farm, who going to say that it will work? Like Grimwrath said, he did the reset, the enemy spawn, but then not counting… I really don’t want to replay the same 1,5h over and over again… and who gonna saying, it will not be happening again in later missions? A Restart Mission Feature that was already wished and feedbacked, are something I would demand.
Unlikely, you do know they did the last update in December right? Your last hope would be the January hotfix.
