To clarify
Simply put engineer has received a nerf that has made it generally unusable to most players in the game. Tick drop rates had been mentioned as fixed in the current patch notes but i have noticed no difference in trying to get my hands on ticks, outside of that after the explosive nerf ticks have been the weakest explosive in the game. seeing as they have a small gas tank to function it would make more sense to make them like the small explosive gas tank in game, making them more effective than grenades. it takes a lot of grinding to get to a specialization and therefore it should be worthwhile for the player to do so.
Please fix this so you can keep your meta varied in GZ! otherwise all we’ll have are marksmen and vanguard builds as they are the only specs with relative pay off for achieving them.
I agree. I was hoping I could use them against other tics. But I can hardly get any to drop for me. Downed lots of hunters and tanks, but had only one drop
I don’t know how the Tick works and all, since I don’t go with that specific specialization. But I think that the Tick should have a similar option to blow up (ex. Tick from Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 Beast Mode)
Maybe somewhere down the line when crafting is eventually introduced we can craft a tick detonator that would blow them up on command, though it wouldn’t serve much purpose now with how ticks are but if the explosion radius was increased then that would be really useful for engineer builds. Tickers were sick, though it’s not quite the same thing, i totally see what you’re getting at

And i have to say im a bit disappointed too because of your mentioned points.

Yeah I’ve tried all I can to try and set it to a different specialism, but it’s that classic moment when you die, you realise it’s not saved the fact you set it last session, and you have to waste an adrenaline.
