The Experimental Granatgevär m/49 is great for attacking FINIX Bases, but in every other situation I rather use the normal Granatgevär m/49. Becouse the second round is rarely needet or is flying every where exept for the target.
Especially when using EMP-Rounds the double-fire is pointless.
This weapon would make much more sense if you could fire both rounds separately.
At one time I took a level 5 launcher with the EXP launcher. Fire the EMP from level 5 and then the double blast of the exp launcher. Was very effective. You can also cause the level 6 to load single round by change to another weapon right after the first round loads. When you change back it will have only one round loaded.

This is the workaround I think most people use. But instead of a 5 second reload you have a 7 second reload. And you need to time it correctly or you have either no round or 2 rounds.
And this dosnt solve the problem if you want to shoot only one round at the start. Then you would equip the weapon, switch to other ammo, switch ammo back, wait till one round is loaded, switch weapon to get only one round, shot … that just sucks.
I agree, it would help to also have the
Single Fire mode
Instead of having only the burst/double mode.
It would be good indeed for better usage.
I just don’t know if would be as good for the game.
It’s hard to compare with all the other experimental weapons. Most have a negative side besides of their positive effects, except the pvg… And the kpist, if I remember right. The exp kpist has the overdrive mode, but it’s just a mode. You may use it normally, too.
Maybe they could change it to homing rockets, or at least the second shot to be a homing rocket. You would have “guaranteed” hits, but no guarantee to hit the target you wished to hit. Could be interesting, but at least there would be a greater difference between the 5c and 6c version.
Why are you complicating things again?
How would it be “bad” it just fires 1 shell instead of 2 , we can fire the second one, and then we reload.
More simple than this does not exist 
Yes, maybe you’re right. 
I also think a firemode would work for the ExP GrG and make it more versatile, one would just not have to carry around a normal GrG for the EMP.
