Favourite machine

I asked myself which machine type is the favourite of the GenZ communtiy, so here is my question:
Which Machine is your favourite just from their Design, concept and abilities. I personally really like the Design of the Hunter and the Harvester.

Not having too many to pick from, I would have to say the hunter. It’s the perfect love-hate relationship. They have a more aggressive AI and have more HP than the dogs, but it’s oh so satisfying to see them go boom.
And furthermore, imo it’s the enemy for which the granatgevär works the best. Since that’s a badass weapon by itself, it makes the hunting of hunters even more fun

Enemies in GZ aren’t robots, they are machines.

As far as my own favorite goes, it would be the cute puppies known as Runners. They are versatile, fast, come in several different configurations and i most love the adorable “woof-woof” sound they make sometimes. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

my favorite is the tank.
its the route i would have chosen if i were behind the machine infestation, due to their armaments and general toughness as well as the psychological fear-factor.
Just their sound scared me shitless the first few weeks in-game and ive just recently started to actively hunt them, thanks to my experimental weapons.

I would have kept the runners if i were in charge, but dropped the tics and harvesters, as well as added a ĂĽber-tank, the size of a small village (think aircraft-carrier with 6 to 18 legs) , as bot-carrier/mobile artillery-platform.

By the way, exactly WHATis the harvester actually harvesting??

What players can witness is the collection of machine fluids/resources from car engines.

I love the way the tank looks personally. The devs could have made it look in any way, but they made it into a walker. For a first time player, standing near a tank without it seeing you gets creepy. :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

Have you finished the game?

Spoiler alert

All machines are controlled remotely by FNIX who does all the thinking. Due to that fact, all enemies are machines since they do not have artificial intelligence.

I do like the Tank archetype. The Apoc. Hunters frustrate me with their mortar launcher because there is no skill that defends against it. I hope that will change in the future. I also hope the max level will be increased to around 40 or so. That would be a nice addition and still wouldn’t let you grab all of the skills. Off topic I know but I would like to see endless attribute progression of some type like health percentage progression as you continue to accrue xp.

The Harvester would be my favorite if it was harvesting human bodies for some dark, unknown, and dangerous reason. Or have a new machine type that does that. GZ already has great atmosphere and that would add more of a horror component to it.

P.S. A level increase should also come with new Mahines that provide even greater challenges. I left that out unintentionally.

Happy Hunting!

Increasing the level cap has been asked in the dev streams. Devs answer is at 00:45:14,

This would only work if enemies get tougher as you continue to level up (e.g like in Diablo 3) or when more and more enemies spawn to compensate your higher HP pool (e.g like in 7 Days to Die). Since else-ways, you could have 5000+ HP pool and any attack from current machine would barely make a dent in your HP pool, if even that.

The Hunter, definitely. It looks and feels like a Machine designed and constructed for the sole purpose of hunting and killing humans. They’re highly adaptable, they’re fast, agile and surprisingly smart at times. And they’re probably the enemy that’s scared me the most times.

Thats just what I was thinking xD

To be fair, just because it’s been mentioned in a thread doesn’t mean that I CAN’T mention it anywhere else. I was just trying to get my point across.

And yes I agree with that as far as endless progression goes… I should have mentioned that but failed to. Of course current machines should improve at the same time. It would also be nice to have different and more dangerous machines spawn as well as you level… something like Terminator flying HK’s to provide a different still combat element to the game… simple flying spotters as well.

So basically I agree with you.
