Feel free to post your favorite machine fighting spot

One of my favorites is F23 Overby Air base.

Another one is near Anl 144 vidsele airport right next to it.

Earlier, there were machine hotspots all across the map. After the regional revamps many of these hotspots have disappeared. However, a few hotspots still remain in the not-revamped Mountains region, especially in the valley going south from Klinte to Bockhyttan and Angerås Church. Here you can fight a whole army of Hunters, as well as Tanks and Harvesters near the military facility.

Inside a barrack! Pretty much no matter where it is. In my first fight from inside a barrack it took me less than five minutes to figure out, that I could jump onto the long sink, kneel on it, and shoot at the machines through the windows. The machines are then like sitting ducks and they are (almost) not able to hurt you.

I remember a fight long ago inside Hjalmars Stuga where a SW bug caused - I guess - more than hundred hunters to spawn over an hour. I was well stocked up on AI-74 ammo (my bread-and-butter weapon) and at the end of the fight, I couldn’t get out of the barrack, as hunter carcasses filled up the area in front of the doors almost as long as you could see. This is one of the more bizarre fights I clearly remember. Once I got out (I think I fast transferred to another safehouse and came back) it was a mess trying to scavenge the hunters as they were totally intertwined.

A fair share of my takedowns have been from the safety of a sink in a barrack :grinning:

Update: Just found my initial post on this event. And even though it admittedly sounds like an anglers tale (15 hunters suddenly becoming a hundred) what I described above happened after that - like first I caught a rainbow trout in the brook and just a moment later I caught a 200 pounds swordfish. You’ll have to take my word for it …

Haha, that would be loads of fun, all those hunters to fight at once.

Yeah, it is hard to find good hotspots, I have not explored much of the mountains region.

And no one gas bombed you? Lucky.

And gas is exactly one of the ways you can get hurt while fighting from a barrack, @TheDoorsBR . Sometimes you can minimise the effect by shifting between the two ends. Also hunter snipers shoot straight through the walls, so I always try to get these hunters first, which can be tricky as the usually charge from a distance.

But in '19 I don’t recall the hunters were equipped with gas, but I might be wrong.

Hot spots have become more dynamic and are scattered throughout my map. If you fast travel to a hot spot and hear the sound of machines, move in that direction. It won’t be long before a handful of machines escalate into a larger group. The battlefields can extend from one safe house to another, with vast areas in nearly every region evolving into monumental battles.

Yeah, I usually listen for the sound of machines while I am playing.

Either I hear them nearby or my companion informs me about nearby danger.

But what I really love is seeking the horizon for small moving lights…seekers.

No one has mentioned what we named Death’s triangle?
The area in the Marshland region from Anl. 118 Färela south to Garphammar and at the eastern point of the triangle, Ramsboda.
