Flashlight, ammunition type, fire mode, not possible to switch while aiming down scope

After introduction of the weapons wheel, it is not longer possible to switch fire mode, ammunition type or flashlight on/off, while aiming down scope.

With the original UI it was possible to toggle the flashlight on/off, fire mode auto/semi/burst while still looking through the scope

With the original UI, holding the right bumper, while aiming, would trigger the reload animation, and then return to scope.

With the introduction of the wheel, you now have to release the scope button, and wait for animation to end, before any of the actions above can be performed.

So it’s the same on PS? Maybe it’s “all controller players“!?

I’ve been playing since December and I’ve never been able to toggle the flashlight while scoped in. I never tried to switch fire mode while scoped, so that might be new.

Originally it was possible to switch fire mode and the flashlight while remaining in scope (like you can on with a real rifle)

If you where in scope and hold the right bumper (Xbox) the reload animation was triggered even if you continued to hold the scope button (left trig) and when the animation was done (new ammo type) you would go back into scope. (Again as with a real rifle)

With controller and/or keyboard/mouse?

What I mean is that even prior to Landfall and the weapon wheel, I still couldn’t turn on the flashlight while scoped. I figured that it was because there’d be a scope at some point that would use the flashlight button (R3 on PS4) to zoom in or something.

No, R3 has always just been used for flashlight and the buildmenu in your homebase (since base-building has been introduced).

Yeah I know that now. When I first started playing though, I figured that the reason I couldn’t use the flashlight while scoped is because there was gonna be some kind of other feature that used R3.
