I get consistent stutters every so often (sometimes once every 20-30 seconds, other times in clusters of two to four every minute or so), which you can see as the red frametime spikes in the image.
I’ve tried disabling all background apps and using Process Lasso to set core affinity to non 3D-cache cores for various apps, as well, but no luck. For example, locking Helldivers 2’s anti-cheat software to the non-3D cache cores solved that game’s stuttering.
Other games, such as The Division 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint run butter smooth (DirectX 12 and Vulkan, respecitvely). Maybe it’s a DX11 issue?
Steps
Spawn, walk around or even just stand still. I’m using FPSMonitor to see the frametime. Check out the Min and 1 percent and .1 percent low numbers, which will be felt as a stutter in-game.
