Future DLC ideas

First of all I want to say that this game has one of the best combat mechanics and gunplay I have ever seen. The game also is very good at creating random encounters. Even after the storyline is complete is it very interesting just to wander around the beautiful map you created and destroy as many machines as possible. But no matter how interesting this process is, there must be some kind of a goal, otherwise it will get boring. I have an idea of possible future DLC as a solution to this problem.
DLC 1 “Resistance rising” – The idea is to conquer all the map from FNIX. It should be a separate game regime with possibility to transfer your current player. The goal is to conquer all the map region by region. We start on the south as in the base game, but we cannot leave the region before we free it from FNIX. We need to destroy a number of enemies, so the bases of FNIX will open and we will be able to destroy them. As soon as this is done region is free from FNIX, and player may see some random resistance members walking around doing their stuff like repair things or just driving bicycles. Idea is to get a feeling that player achieved something. As soon as we free one region another one is available for conquering with stronger enemies, and stronger bases to conquer. But here we may add possibility to spawn our own robots (like with companion DLC). This can be done by giving the player command points for destroying robots, bases and freeing the regions. Command points can be spent on ammo, med kits, and spawning ally robots (with some cost to unlock the spawn of the robot itself, so you can not spawn the most expensive robot early in the game). So, this regime is more about total war than about looting and crafting.
DLC 2 “Soviet invasion” – You already have 2 fractions of robots. It is logical that another regime can be conquering the map from FNIX by a soviet commander. Idea is the same as DLC 1, but you can spawn only soviet robots. It may be a good idea to allow direct control over a robot. May be very fun especially playing online with friends.

That sounds complicated, but if it wasnt too glitchy it sounds like it could be a great dlc

I’d just like to see a dlc that lets me craft experimental versions of the dlc guns owned at the crafting bench. That’d make the gun dlcs worth it, plus I know I’d pay for this add on, and some may not want it, so separate from guns is perfect.

What about a new attachment slot for an experimental upgrade kit instead?

Like a vision module which can be attached to all scopes and the binoculars, there could be an experimental upgrade kit which turns a 5c weapon to an experimental weapon.

6c weapons you get always already have this upgrade installed.

Nevertheless, for DLC weapons (and basic weapons that don’t already have an experimental version) there would be some additions needed to be designed.

Yeah that’d be great too lol tbh there’s a lot I’d love to see have an exp version and even a neat lil kit like a fnix self install kit or the like would give a bunch more flexibility to load outs that work for gen purposes.
