Game performance hits single digit FPS during certain events when normally 100+

Game performance has been very bad ever sense the update that came out at the same time FPS was unlocked to 60 on the consoles. PC also got an update at that time which broke the game’s play-ability.
Others reported this issue in Discord at the time, even some said they had posted it on the forums but it was never addressed. There haven’t been any bug fix updates in months. Is Generation Zero now abandonware?

Details of the issues
Overall FPS dropped about 40 to 60 FPS on average. Depending on number of machines and effects being rendered.
Previous to the update back then, average FPS for my hardware would be 165FPS high and 120FPS low on Ultra graphics settings with no Dynamic resolution.
Current FPS is 110FPS high to 50FPS low with occasional dips into the single digits with graphics set to medium.

Single Digit FPS events are when a Tank for example, is in active combat with the Player. The game will slow down to 16FPS or worse until the machine is destroyed, at which point the FPS shoot back up to normal, well normal for the current performance.

NO changes in hardware had occurred between updates.

Hardware specifications:
Ryzen 7800X3D (Game usage at 37% average)
RX 6750XT Mech OC (Game usage 89% to 99% average) (Previous to update usage 57% to 79%)
Gskill 32GBs DDR5 AMD Expo 6000mhz/mts
Western Digital Blue SN570
MSI PRO B650-P WIFI (A-XMP Enabled) (Integrated Graphics Disabled) (Secure Boot Disabled)

Operating Environments:

OpenMandriva 6 znver1 Linux, Steam/Proton Experimental (Performance while using this OS is best least amount of crashes (Crash to desktop)
“znver1” (operating system distribution designed to increase performance specifically for AMD hardware)

Linux Mint 22.1, Steam/Proton Experimental (Worst performance while using this OS)

Microsoft Windows 10/11 (Middle ground of performance, least stable. Game crashes have always occurred randomly sense the game was released)

Well, there are different experiences across all players. Since the last update arrived I never had any crashes on PS5, the fps were stable as far as I can tell. Stable high, of course.

I recently started playing on my MSI gf63 i5-12450 rtx4050 on ultra and it runs fine all the time.

No idea, which combinations of hardware and software cause these issues.

The showdown update was the last one.
They stopped development and support right after the latest hotfix short after the showdown update.

I always wondered about that, because I never have any crashes or low frame rate with GZ on Steam PC. I do always set max frame rate on 60, since human eyes can’t notice the difference if set higher.
