My GENERATION ZERO game on my PC. It crashes on start-up! It stared doing this after hours of action in Multiplayer mode. Now nothing. It never gets past the initial loading! HELP!
I can get a bit further, but just today the game is crashing within the first 5 minutes of playing. PC - Ryzen 5 1500X Quad Core - 8gb RAM plus RX580 with 8gb. Been cranking Ultra settings from the get go. I am 55 hours in with NO crashes before today, not a single one. I was thinking that the people with the crash problems just had janky computers, but I guess not. I play 4-5 hour sessions at a time and now I can’t get 5 minutes from a safe house before it keels over. Help!!! Any Ideas???
Not an idea really, just a fact: The game is beyond broken, and probably won’t be good to play for another 6 months to 1 yr…
I joined a multiplayer session tonight, from the home screen, and on my own game I had about 6-8 missions active that I needed to do. Well when I went back to my game cause the host left, all my active missions were gone. They weren’t in completed either. I decided to see if I need to reactivate them so I went to the Minken Bunker warboard and interacted with it. This gave me back the command bunker chain mission whatever it’s called where it tells you to find the war board across all the bunkers. But there was no missions in the corner like there usually is when you interact with it, and my game was still tracking the “Secret Cargo” mission, but not the objective it just said secret cargo in the top left hand side of my map and this mission was nowhere to be found in my log. I play on Xbox One S.
Please try one of the following steps:
Back up savegame (rename it to savegame.BAK) (%userprofile%\Documents\Avalanche Studios\GenerationZero\Saves\SteamID)
Start game with new save.
If that did not help:
Reinstall game after complete uninstall.
If that did not help:
Reinstall STEAM (yes, shitty Steam often fukkers the game’s engine up).
If that did not help:
Devs will look into this ASAP (they always consider these bugs a primary issue).
Thank you.
This is kinda hilarious … the bad kind of hilarious.
The CTD issue was already reported in early April. The only developer response I know of came after I had mailed them about the problem a few weeks ago. Since then they didn’t talk about it, except for a single sentence in the dev blog.
Needless to say: the May 28th update didn’t fix it for me.
And now you people come along and report the patch actually made it worse/broke the game + some PS4 players can’t play at all anymore.
So much about “they always consider these bugs a primary issue”
I have never experienced development like this before.
Yep, and what’s funny is how many people are defending them like this is ok. They advertise this game as a “Finished product” yet it is BEYOND broken… I’m fed up, and will tolerate it no more.
