19 Radioactive. Imagine dragons
Why- when your fighting apoco machines
Some posted this on Facebook
Sorry, but skimming through the list I didn’t notice one single song by an eighties Swedish band. I was actually around in the eighties Sweden, and they really rocked (or should I say “pop’ed”) the scene:
- ABBA: Under Attack
- ABBA: The Winner takes it All
- ABBA: Fernando
- Secret Service: Flash in the Night
- Secret Service: Dancing in Madness
- Secret Service: Like a Morning Song
- Roxette: The Look
- Roxette: Call of the Wild
- Murray Head: One Night in Bangkok
- Europe: The Final Countdown
- Bjorn Skifs: Boys will be Boys
- Bjorn Skifs: Stanna
- Ted Gærdestad: Lår Kærleken Slå Rot
Why: Well that is quite obvious, isn’t it?
For when the Reaper Spawns…
37-Highway to Hell AC/DC
why: because those robots are goin’ straight to hell
38- any Candlemass song
Why: Candlemass is Swedish and Doom Metal
Nice, I was thinking of making a spotify playlist but you already created one (not spotify though)
job nicely done @Gysbert!
now for the cover?
any ideas guys?
You could still make a spotify list for people who have Spotify. Make it more complete as well, because I haven’t got a paid service and Soundcloud doesn’t have all songs for free.
DM me the list, I can try to get them all. no promises
No pressure. The list is what ever songs the people posted here, and I added some of my own. Got to do some work.
Some punk from the 80’s.
(Note: these may be a bit political, but they are culture classified. Or as we say in Sweden in a shorter slang: kult)
• Ebba Grön - 800°
• Ebba Grön - Die Mauer
• Ebba Grön - Staten & Kapitalet
• Imperiet - Var é Vargen
Something that the conscripts plays when they have done their time in the Swedish Armed Forces. Or MUCK as it is called.
Cool Candys - Muckartwist
(Newer recording of the their song from 1995)
Cool Candys - Muckartwist
(Order recording of their song from 1965)
Another band/duo that is popular from the Swedish TV-program ”På Rymmen” (On the Run).
• Hjalle & Heavy - Dökött På Radio
• Hjalle & Heavy - Folkrace
• Hjalle & Heavy - Lasse Kronér
(They makes fun of the one who is tracking them down on the program.)
• Hjalle & Heavy - Lumparliv
(There are two versions of this song)
Caramba: Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot
Swedish early eighties at its finest
Oh, I forgot. It is song in the same dialect as spoken by the Swedish Chef in the Muppet Show.
