I don’t know if it’s a bug or designed this way. I’ve been noticing when my character gets knocked down, even at high health. When he gets back up he dies. It’s almost like the coding is reading it as fall damage like from a cliff instead of just being knocked down. This has resulted in over half of my deaths. Has anyone else noticed this?
Yes. You slide down a gentle slope for a couple of meters with a high health mark of say 70 after the initial event and then loose all health. It is annoying.
Yup. That’s what happens exactly. So frustrating.
It’s so much worse. Hit by a missile and rag dolled in the air on level terrain, no damage. Land on a gentle slope and slide less than one meter, dead. Jump off a small incline and land on a spot that makes you slide less than one meter, dead. Fall off a hill more than three meters, dead. Jump off a rock over five meters, perfectly fine.
Get hit my a rocket runner, get blown TOWARDS the runner! AND TURNED AROUND! I can handle the wonky physics, but STOP TURNING ME AROUND WHEN I GET KNOCKED DOWN!
I’m glad it’s not just me who noticed this. Maybe they could work it in to their notes on “things to fix”. Honestly that wouldn’t even be a hard fix either. Depending on how they check for grounded it could be as simple as a few lines of code.
I have the same issues. I use the experimental shotgun with experimental health ammo and sadly the knockdown from it more often than not kills me from the fall. Kinda weak that a heal can kill you . Still not sure why it needs to knock you around to effect your health but God help you if you’re not on level ground when you fired it. Even at full health the knockdown can be lethal even if wearing maxed fall protection.
Yeah fall damage multiplying after a knockdown is annoying. This has killed me many times in the past, would be great if this could be addressed.
Totally agree No reason it should act like it presently does. I can jump from 2 stories up and survive but I can’t slide down a hill I’d normally slide my child down IRL Slide dmg has some how become a thing idk if it was by design or a total fluke but I know it hasn’t always been this way. Devs definitely need to have a little look on this issue.
I think this is what happened to my Friend while we were doing a Fnix Base assault with Melle only
as i send Her flying when i broken bown a Wall with my Mjølner <.<;
I though it were Friendly-fire damage…
I did another time (Ealier), but with 2 charge instead of 3 to try to get Her unstuck
and that didn’t do any damage to Her, as She only fell over…
