Going underwater

During my playthrough a few hunter corpses flew into the water.
I tried to at least get close to them.
Then i just…
Went underwater?

I ran over there and managed to successfully replicate what you did.

Looks like the lake is uh… Not working properly

I have seen Machines actually standing inside the lake, so I guess this explains how they did that.
