Guess where it is? (refering to recent tweet)

That’s right, Ängsnäs Manor there are a couple of barns away from the main house filled with FNIX Data centers, that were destroyed with explosives by the player under supervision of Veronika. They were never repaired.

I can imagine if you’re Swedish that the game has an extra thrill dimension, that other players don’t experience. Good to know you are Swedish, Sometimes I use DeepL to translate some swedish terms in the game, but it’s better if a native speaker does it. I had a word last week, have to think what that was, and I’ll ask you if that OK with you. :coffee:

Edit: The word was Häckeberget; if you would translate it to English what would you say it was?

Häcke, almost sound as HäckeN= the hedge and also used as slang for ass. But in this case I think it’s refers to some local old dialectal Swedish. We had scattered immigration and influence of, among other things, German throughout the centuries.
If I’m not totally wrong Häcke is Hedge on German.

berget, it simple because it’t the mountain, So in this case it’s a German influenced Swedish name on the location, Hedge Mountain

There is so many small villages and farms in sweden that have the most brain-wrenching names if you are an outcast and don’t know the old local dialect. Or like in this case, a local old German remnant in the Swedish language.

I just wondered if the Mountain’s shape or near environment reflects the name the devs have given to this area. I can’t of hand say if there are many hedges in that area. Thanks for the translation. :+1:

Could stop thinking on this particular name, so I was going to do a ‘edit’ on it.

If I remember correct, many many years since I studied English, you don’t even type together city or place name in English? So HäckebergetET would in that case be The Hedge Mountain.

Then about old location names in Sweden, some can be a couple of hundred years and back then there was hedges all over that mountain. Or sometimes it can be a place refered to a couple of kilometers away, or the really sneaky ones. In this case, it could be that when you stood up on the mountain, you saw lots of hedges in the distance, a hundred or two hundred years ago.

Yes, I understand that names in real live can have its origin hundreds of years ago. Thanks again.

To reward you I have another postcard to find its location of.

Not Again. I better get started, because the parking sign needs fixing. Vandals!

There wasn’t much in the way of clues, but based on a guess that there is water down to the left and the outhouse, I say Sundby Camping?

That’s right. That’s where the vandals sometimes hang out. :coffee:

This car can help me take out my enemy, if only someone could tell me where this car’s location is!

The southpole is a bit crooked…

That one is easy for a seasoned survivor. You don’t often pass by that cabin.
To the right of the cottage, behind the mountain peak, we have Stentorpet.
On the left hand of the cottage Ånnagruvan.
Do that cabin even have a name?

But the car wrecks before… Thought and been around but no, not a clue about the place.

That is the correct spot. I haven’t been there for a while either, and I wasn’t sure if all the poles and planks were there before. I’ll check if if i can find an earlier picture. It’s sometimes hard to remember if something is added or not.

As far as I know the cabin has no name and no conclusive lore.
There is however, some lore that mentions a house of Kenneth Larsson’s Grandpa, that might fit because it’s a bit of a hike to get there. :point_left:

"Hej uncle Sven,

Guess who’s about to get back from the USA in a couple of weeks! My flight back is on November 2nd. Can’t believe it’s been over 6 months since I started that student exchange semester thing. My time here was so AWESOME, kind of makes me want to travel again soon. Mom says I should either get a job or study somethingOtherwise, they won’t let me go hiking at Grandpa’s old house again".

Not sure what you mean with the car wrecks.

The one before. Don’t recognize the place at all, maybe because I so rarely travel on the roads.

Aha, you meant the boobytrap car, I thought you had seen car wrecks at the cabin before.

Well, these cars are not on a road, but at the same time not too far from one. The road I mean has a Swedish tank guarding it. And this tank is kind of unique, because it’s surrounded by sandbags. Maybe that is a bit of a clue. :coffee:

Some vague memory of a Battle Tank S and lots of sandbags… Sooner or later I’ll find the place.

I just found an idyllic fly-fishing spot. Just follow the path to the boardwalk and you will find a pier just past an old hut. Bring lovely weather. :sunny:

Found it, I knew I had seen this place before… And actually the weather was fine, too…

It’s in the southwest edge of Östervik, just below Lilla (with a little circle above the a… )

That’s the Spot. Below Lillå
Did you catch anything?

Catched anything ? Hmm… sort of… 6 hunters…

Is the shed a later addition to the map? I know I’ve been there a long time ago but no memories of a shed on the location.

I have to check… wait a minute checking old map versions…

Yes, the hut was added with the landfall update.
