House logistics

I have encountered houses with only a bedroom for two small children and no other bedrooms. Which makes no sense… Do these children live by themselves? And houses with no bathrooms? Do they shit outside? These are things which break the illusion of the game and make you think some developers have failed to create something with any real thought and consideration for the map they were building.

PLEASE UPDATE THIS  I REALLY WANT TO LOVE THIS GAME AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE PREMISE AND STORY YOU HAVE SURROUNDING IT.

I haven’t noticed anywhere without a bathroom yet, although there are several locations with outside toilets. I have come across at least one house with no kitchen/cooking area.

However, a missing bathroom is not too immersion breaking for me, as indoor bathrooms in rural areas may well have been lacking even into the 1980’s. A lack of cooking facility is far less likely.

I would definitely agree that the building design does seem rushed/careless in many places. Although I would suggest that the devs prioritise correcting the countless floating/clipping objects.

That said there are many other aspects of the game that could do with attention first. (I will be making a separate post for my opinion on that).

Finally - I totally agree; I want to love the game also and it believe that it can become something special. It just needs work to build on the current solid foundation.

I found houses with 7 bedrooms and no bathrooms… XD there are a lot of weird houses, with a lot of eatingrooms and no living rooms or houses with 4 rooms and non of it is an bathroom, houses with only child size beds and no bedroom for the parents.

How are they life without an bathroom, where do they go for it and does the parents sleep in the car without some beds?

Its not the big deal, I can live with it but for the immersion it could be cool if fixed.

Yes, it makes it feel like a procedurally generated world sometimes, and not a handcrafted world with attention to details. It’s not like a Fallout game where almost every location tells its own little story. But the team behind the game is a lot smaller than Bethesda so it’s understandable if they didn’t have time to make every location unique and interesting.

It does feel like that a lot, and I hear what your saying BUT you shouldn’t be aloud to sell a broken product that one cannot easily return or get refund on when they realise it is broken. This is wrong! If I bought a TV and it was broken when I bought it then I would have the right to a refund. But as I preordered this off the PS4 store I am stuck trying to haggle with Sony for a refund through form submissions and nothing is certain.

I play on PS4 and the game has crashed 5 times so far, each time I have to start all the way back at a safe house and re do all the work and exploration I had just been doing. This is just one of many faults I have encountered.
