How Does Co-op Work Regarding Missions?

I completed “The Farm” mission and then joined my friend’s game who had not completed it. We went to the farm and there were two Runners there. He began shooting them but I finished both of them off. He didn’t get credit for any of the kills. It still showed 0/4 for the objectives.

Can players co-op and still do the missions or do they count only for the host? He was the host still and the kills didn’t count. Now no machines will spawn at that farm at all so we are stuck.

When a mission refuses to spawn what you need to kill, there is only 1 solid way of resolving it which is to restart the entire game. Another way ive heard off but never really seen anyone report back on is to to join someone else who has not done the mission then return back to your world. For co-op progression, its the most buggiest thing rn due to devs changing how it worked back in Junes Update ‘New Dawn’.
