How to make the game more challenging or "better"

Through the past few days, playing with experimental gear and such i have noticed how the game is quiet easy with those special guns. I dont think this is cause the gear is to strong, its cause of the bots. Here is how i think this could be fixed:
-Better Convoys and bot groupings.
-Tanks usually are solo. This makes them quiet easy to kite or just snipe. If they had lets say, 3
hunters and a seekers as their escort it would make fighting them much more difficult
-Haresters need better escorts. 4 runners are just not enough. In my opinion there should be
hunters, runners and seeker acompanieing them and fnix ones should have a military tank as
escort.
-Maybe just add convoys entierly? A large train of units, consisting of: 10-16 Runners, 4-6 Hunters, 3
Seekers, 2 tanks and 1-2 harvesters. These kind of convoys would allowe the whole “robots wiped
out the entire population of the iland in matter of days” some credence. Currently, whenver i hear
that they did that, killed the entire military presence aswell as tanks, ariforce and what not i go “a
tank ap shell could easily kill a tank…how?”
Rivals:
I think rivals are lacking something. They level up, but the only thing this does is make them more tanky. Instead they should gain abilities like we are gaining.
Level 2 should mean much faster fiering bullets, meaning their harder to doge
Level 3 should mean incindiary rounds, leaving an AOE effect that causes a ton of damage if stead
inside of
Level 4 should mean something like larger explosions and stronger explosions or maybe something
much stronger im uncertain about

I know the dlc is comming out sometime soon, meaning much of this is probaby up to change and with Apocalyps units comming well see.
I have to say sorry for the typos and bad spelling, but i hope my ideas help somewhat.

Welcome to the forum! I like the ideas, but we have to wait for the next update. They’re adding a lot of cool stuff…

@Ana
Very good post, well motivated, just… good!

IMHO: the MAIN issue seems their lack of awareness, reaction time and aggression.
Improving these would even -likely- result in removing some armour, since they will be FAR more violent and, well, aware…
I have had, that I engaged a bunch of machines from like 75m away (approximate guess), and they FAILED to even NOTICE me.
Seeing from a point of logic, machines should (seeing that their sight and hearing are far superior than ours) detect us visually from 400m, and hear us from let’s say 50 (if running), not at all (when sneaking or stationary), and 25KM if we shoot them with the Gold .50 (since big bang).
One IMPORTANT note: machines should see us from 400m IF LINE OF SIGHT PERMITS THIS!!!
If you’re behind a rock, they will NOT see you, for instance.
Or if you hide in a pit or so.
Like humans, machines just cannot see behind the corner, correct?

Once spotted, it happens that machines need up to TEN! seconds before they realize, they need to attack you.
Now THIS is a massive game breaker!
Reduce this to say .5 up to 3 seconds TOPS (depending on the type: the orange would be 3 sec, camo would be 2 sec, FNIX would be 1 sec, APO then .5 sec.

Aggression range: this should depend on a few variables like LoS, hearing, terrain, …
Now, I am not a coder, so, I do not know what variables that should be implemented, hence I will leave that open.

IF Avalanche would do this, then, even with the current orange machines, they will notice these become overpowering if they keep their current armour rating and health points.
Now, increased difficulty is nice, I am 100% for this, but it needs to be playable too.

Which is where my last line comes in:
This idea should be optional…
Not everyone is able to deal with higher difficulty, I fear, and shoving this down their throat is…
Well… not so kind…

VERY good post though, miss!!!

@Edgecutter24
Well, this has been released, and I still like to see Miss Ana’s ideas been worked out.
And hopefully mine will be considered.
Slapping on more armour and increasing HP would not solve the issue, I guess…
It would drag a battle out in time, but it will not be more intense.

Thoughts?
