Hunters Hate Houses

I think this has been discussed before, but for some reason, hunters suddenly hate houses. In a single hour-long run I encountered three or four hunters just blasting at houses, along with several runners. They were standing in various places around the house firing towards the center of the house.

They were so engrossed in this, they did not notice as I walked right up to them and stood in front of them. They just ignored me and attacked the house. One of my companions rammed them with his bicycle at full speed. That seemed to wake him up (and also do some damage).

If you engage them, they notice you and begin attacking you. Otherwise, even if their are other machines around attacking you, they ignore you and attack the house. Anyone else experience this?

Well, I did 20 minutes of game play this afternoon to get my daily dosis of GZ, and after clearing an area around a house from runners and hunters that actually did attack the house, I noticed a hunter standing at a 45 degrees angle in a ditch (no, it wasn’t Boris, I’m perfectly sure). First I thought it to be dead (in the ditch) but it wasn’t. But it completely ignored me. So I started shooting at it. No reaction. I continued until it blew up in a very gentleman like way and tipped over. I looted it and left it dead … in the ditch. It was really quite sad to watch … but also quite funny. :worried: …

i had 2 harvesters attack each other yesterday. hacker skill not unlocked

Hunters (and Runners, Tanks and other machines) don’t hate houses.

September update broke the AI, the game and spotting system all at once, that’s all.

Seems like it. I am seeing a lot of this now. We have played for a while, starting a couple months ago, and never really had any problems. Now we are having a ton of problems.

Today I saw ticks attacking houses as well. They just run up to it and explode.

I spotted a Harvester fixated on a house, firing rockets and ticks while all its guard infantry surrounded the house to stop anyone escaping. Killed them all eventually, but since Harvesters never carry anything I can use, I was sorry afterwards.

Mind you, it does the make the game interesting to stand in the woods, and then suddenly hear an engagement going on in the distance. You think, “Who is firing at whom?” and go and find out. Makes a change from the silence.

Yes it does.

But… (imagine a very big butt here)

It would be a lot more logical if there were any other people then you around. (Makes sense, right?)

And above all: It should not drag you into combat automatically.

  • or In / Out of combat - the way it does now. It’s wrong, broken and makes no sense.
