i pressed delete in game thinking i was deleting my second world but it deleted the first one. i am playing on pc on the microsoft store version of the game.
If you don’t have a backup of your savegame: shit happens

I had my computer cleaned up and it deleted my save so I am in the same position. What you need to do is to fairly regularly go to where the save is kept and copy your save, renaming it as something else.
It is in C:/users/(yourname)/documents/avalanche studios/generation zero/saves/(folder named with numbers)/savegame
Thats the Steam save location. MS saves save games elsewhere.
And for @LBMustang you havent deleted your save, you deleted your world. If it was a save file, then you would be completely out of luck without someone giving you stuff or helping you get back to where you were before. You still have everything youve collected and completed (Challenges). Its just a matter of getting that Alt world back to what the original world was like, be it rivals or missions completed.
