If I die, and I choose ‘abandon’ after I hit the X button, the screen returns to the previous screen asking me to abandon or revive. I have to hit X again to be able to choose a spawn point. This happens about 95% of the time and is very, very annoying.

Same for me. PS4 Pro.
Same thing is happening on Xbox One, quite annoying.
Same here on PC. It seems that it happens if I click Abandon quickly. It works better if I wait a second before clicking.
It’s not the first time that I have chosen abandon and hit a only to use one of my adrenaline (at that point I get very irritated)
Also the stupidly long wait when you drop a waypoint is stupidly annoying (on my XBox One-X and sons One-S)

Sorry for the inconvenience, I find this bug quite annoying myself 
Anyhow, this issue is in our internal bug tracking database and a fix for it should roll out in a future patch.
