- An option to limit the fps.
- An option to turn off mouse smoothing.
- An option to set the scope sensitivity separately.
Thank you!
Thank you!
How do you perceive mouse smoothing? I never really noticed, should be quite subtle.
Well only the devs can confirm if they are using some mouse smoothing or acceleration.
I always feel some delay/input lag on my mouse movement, typically when the game are not using the raw mouse input. It’s not a big delay, but i can notice it.
I am sure there is no mouse acceleration (different cursor speed on different hand speed).
Input lag can have various reasons. Did you try to set NVidia control panel Low Latency mode to “on”? You find it under 3d settings. This is the same as the Pre-rendered frames setting of “1” from before the setting’s name change. In case you hit the max refresh rate of your monitor (e.g. on 60 Hz displays), you can also try “Ultra” or use an external frame limiter such as Riva Tuner Statistics Server (RTSS). This is equivalent to 0 pre-rendered frames and will give you the lowest perceived input lag. An in-game limiter does not exist for GZ, which would yield the best result. Pre-rendered frames are always created when you are in the GPU limit, or at max fps for your monitor, and your CPU has some spare time. The intention is to deliver a smooth (frame rate wise) experience. However, this creates frames that are slightly old on delivery, hence the input lag.
I’m not sure either, just feels like it has. As I said a dev could tell more.
Btw I don’t have this delay on other games like Overwatch, Doom (2016), Deep Rock Galactic…
I don’t have Nvidia, but if I know correctly the Amd driver already working on pre-rendered frames 1.
I’m using chill to limit the fps, but it’s not working well with the game, that’s why an in-game fps limiter would be good.
AMD has a low latency setting as well. Whenever you are in the GPU limit or use V-Sync and are in your monitors Hz limit, pre-rendered frames can start piling up. I currently have no very bad input lag with this game, just the reg. But I am on NVidia, so may be different. You can also test this by disabling V-Sync and let your frames run free. That should give you the lowest latency. I’d be curious if that makes a difference for you.
And you can test for mouse acceleration by fast moving your mouse across the pad and slowly moving it back. If you end up in the same spot in-game, there is no accel.
Finally, at least there is no setting for mouse smoothing in the game’s ini file, as far as I can see. You find it here:

Well, maybe it’s just feels weird to me, compared to other games.
Nah, never used V-sync in any game, I really don’t like it. Chill+Frees-sync is the best combo for me.
Although I tried without any fps limitation and don’t feel any difference.
Maybe it feels weird, because compared to other games it doesn’t run that well? Not saying it runs terrible, but definitely needs better optimization. I need to run everything on medium, one thing on low, and all the effects (specially two) disabled, or my card will run on 80°C. And before you say, its not the thermal paste or the dust.
So you disabled everything including Free-Sync, and it did not make a difference. Then what you feel is up to the game engine, I guess, if it is different for your from other games. But open world games like GZ will never run as low latency as Counter Strike or other small map shooter games optimized for esports.
There are many reasons for cards getting hot. Some cards are not made well (cooling solution wise). Some cases have bad airflow. Some cards are overclocked (by the user, mine e.g.). But 80°C is still ok for a graphics card, I let mine not exceed 85°C.
I personally think as to how the game looks, it runs pretty smooth. I “only” have a quad-core CPU (8 threads), and my frame times are very regular, basically no spikes at all (did not take a close look during fights, but it does feel fine). That alone is great for a game. Your fps, of course, depend on your GPU as well. But the game is far on the more graphically appealing side, and so you won’t get 200 fps even on high tier cards.
