So either it could be a dlc or just added into the game
One could be a automatic 50cal the way you could balance it is be making it extremely heavy so you’d have to sacrifice carrying other weapons with you and maybe making it lower your stamina. I was also thinking of a gun like the harkonnen from the hellsing anime I know it’s based off a real gun but a can’t remember the name. The gun could do like maybe 25% of a Finx class tanks health and make have the same draw backs as the other but also make the ammo rare drop and really expensive to craft. The last gun I was thinking of is maybe a modified harpoon gun made to tie down the machines for a time and maybe make the cables electric or something to give a reason for the guns not being able to work but I think all these weapons could add a lot of different strategies to the game.
Sounds a lot like Horizon Zero Dawn.

Only reason in my opinion för a heavy weapon is maybe for a base defence mission. Not something to run around with. The game is not so hard after a while. Adding heavy weapons would make it no challenge especially in multiplayer where one can carry a heavy and with ease take out tanks and the rest cover him against runners.
You dont want a Vulcan Minigun too?
Or maybe a D-30 Howitzer that our superhuman character can use to fire and attach to a bike to move around.
Maybe we can have a railgun from an anime too and the rebel ship that uses harpoons to take down AT-AT Empire Walkers

Then maybe it could be a drop only in the guerilla difficulty
I play on guerilla and it is not something needed. I don’t even use experimental weapons they make the game way too easy in my opinion

Just make it like the HMG in cyberpunk. When it’s out, you are unable to run or jog, just moving at a walking speed.
