Idea/Suggestions

Ive had this idea ever since i watched the first trailer and now that i actually have a place to talk about i thought other people might have ideas or suggestions. Post them here and lets talk about them!

there has been a lot of talk about vehicle implementation, namely the bicycle that appears in those two-door sheds. i for one wholly support that idea because the island is extremely large and getting around would become tiresome soon (as there are large open fields with no buildings), and because it also fits in with the sort of “stealthy” theme of the game, rather than cars.

i dont know what the developers stances are on it though, dont know if that kind of thing can be implemented into the Apex Engine with ease, but if it does i would love to see a rideable bicycle ingame

I forget to actually write my idea so ill write it here.

Picture this, you’re searching the mainland and find out about a plan to missile strike most of the island because of the machine threat increasing rapidly, the reason for that being a newly discovered an offshore facility where the machines are coming from. Your team decides that you should destroy the facility in hopes of getting the strike called off so you head there and, after destroying it, you find out there are more of these facilities scattered across the map and now the machines see you as a bigger threat, causing them to adapt and make stronger versions of the existing machines and maybe new types altogether. Tell what you guys think!

I think thats a great idea, hopefully the dev team can implement it cause the problem with a lot of these survival/stealth open world games is not being able to get around other than by foot

I play a lot of games with Tobii Eye (and head on the 4c model) tracking. It can severely improve situational awareness and i’d like to see this feature actually

It’s like TrackIR but it tracks eyes + head instead of just head movement.

That seems like a good idea, but would that make the risk of motion sickness greater? I know a few people who just cant play first person games because ofthat

Motion sickness? With head/eye tracking on a normal monitor?
I never heard of that to be honest.

As long as you aren’t prone to motion sickness on normal movement on screens than this shouldn’t add to it as far as i know.

And if you check the FPS games on tobiigaming.com and look at the features, it’s all really intuitive and natural.

More importantly, games that include it can enable and disable it (or even the specific features) through the options. And for it to work you need a Tobii eyeX or 4C peripheral.

Isn’t the Apex engine the same as they use for Just Cause?

I think it’s fully possible, and I would personally love to see it. However, I think it might break the flow of the game and cause lots of issues. Like what happens when a car drives into a robot? Can the tanks stomp a car?

An Idea I have is that there should be some sort of “base” location where you and your band can stay. A place where you can store items you’ve gathered but don’t currently need and that reflects your in-game progress. A place where you, if they implement vehicles, will be able to restore some sort of derelict vehicle, for which you collect parts in a seperate quest line. A place you in some mission have to defend.

Just found this wide cave-system below the castle mountain. Would be so cool, to actually fire those campsites up, take a rest and restore your health (by skipping some daytime). Would implement exactly those soft survival-aspects an adventure in the lonely wilderness would need.

Looking forward to visit a lot of these hidden places via sidequests or by looking for some food…
