Ok so i’ve read some post on reddit saying tanks and harvesters are to hard right now and should be toned down. But i would like to consider the other option of buffing players instead and seeing how the changes would feel. I’ll write this in bullet point form for easy reading.
.weapon sway and marksman. The problem here is you have to take weapon sway to get marksman which waste a skill point if your doing a sniping build I believe weapon sway should be maxed out at two skill points where each point gives you 50 percent sway reduction and marksman should give you plus 20 percent damage with single fire rifles. Especially since they get no damage buff from make em count or trigger happy. Bringing sniping into the same viability of other builds. Also marksman feels like a rather weak specialisation compared to the other 6 (commander is also rather bad)
.the next two would be inquisitive mind and veteran guerilla. Skills that increase xp gain feel terrible to get because they take a very long time to profit from and in the case of inquisitive mind has limited use. I believe a thematic change to inquisitive mind would be to give you a damage bonus against machines you have the blueprints for as an inquisitive person would see them and figure out the best way to exploit the designs I think level 1 giving 5 percent extra damage to components and level 2 giving 5 percent extra damage to armour would be balanced. As for guerilla warfare I would make marked machines do five percent less damage per level which fits in with it being a support skill. These changes would make both skills feel quite valuable.
.finally changes to commander skill, field radios are rarely used so I Believe the the 3-6 buffs should be applied to paramedic kits and ammo boxes aswell to make it a usefull skill.
I’d appreciate all feedback on these ideas from both players and community managers/devs.I also want to throw a thank you the devs for the quick hotpatch on the ps4, the day the can’t start the game bug came out I brought the game for a for a friend to play with us and was really dissapointed we couldn’t play it together but getting the fix out before the weekend let us have a great time over the last few days. So thankyou for the quick work

Really, people find harvesters too hard to take down? Shut them down with an EMP, run behind them, take out their artillery, then their tick pod and the fuel cell on the back and they’re basically done for^^ Takes me about 2 minutes and 4 clips of 9mil FMJ.
I do agree that explosive damage should be more viable against the big boys.

I like where there at difficullty wise personally, playing with three friends we can take them down in little over a minute and it’ss quite fun. But for the health of the game I believe it’s important to take the opinion of players who think there too difficult into consideration. Can I ask what you think of the proposed skill changes? I tried to keep the buffs inline with other skills

I think your proposed changes are good. The skill tree needs some work either way. “Doubled down timer” is something I don’t think anyone really needs tbh, other skills suffer from the same feeling of uselessness

I entirely stopped finding EMPs. I have only found one world-spawn large EMP cell. Can’t use your tactic if I haven’t been able to find them in toolboxes since this recent patch…
EMP Cells don’t drop from toolboxes. Large Cells can rarely be found in the game world, and drop from Tanks and Harvesters. Medium Cells drop from Military and FNIX Hunters, Runners and Seekers drop Small Cells.
You can also run around them without EMP’ing them first:) It’s easier with the run speed perk
You used to find the car battery EMP in toolboxes along with a propane tank, gas tank, and paramedic response pack. Not that it was very useful since you have to run into the line of fire just to place it near what you want to disable and then manage to hit a shot on it while being shot at by their runner escorts. All of this while dealing with the awful lag spikes that console is plagued with. I really would shoot these things like I used to play BF4 but you don’t really give me a chance at below 10 fps…

You’re not missing out on much, although I’d appreciate even the shitty battery EMPs over nothing at this point
In my opinion Fnix should be hard. Even harder than they are now. Yesterday we took out a Fnix harvester and a tank at the same time. 3 players. Two focused on the tank and one took out the harvester. We are lvl 13-18. And we didn’t even die. Took us less than 4min without emp. But one player has hacking skull.
Not everyone has friends willing to drop $40 on an unfinished product, I really would play coop if console wasn’t endless mic blasters.
