Noticed that I only had one lonely Firebird rival left on the Russian side on the whole map up in the Marshland. So I decided to create some mayhem going from Marshland to the east along the northern coast regions because threat level was fairly low in all of the regions, bellow 10 at least.
Ended halfways, at Hagaboda after number of destroyd Wolfs and Firebirds not to mention Lynxs, and I got loot from most of the Firebirds and some of the Wolfs as they were rivals?
Several 5C weapons and accessories from each one of them - this is not normal loot!?
“Maybe” a 5C weapon or accessorie sometime but not several at once from the majority of them?
And during my mayhem I only got a few announcements of Swedish machine turning to rivals. Some got in my way when I did the weekly and some daily when I was up in the north. But not a singel Russian turned to rival.
Soviet machines do have a MUCH lower spawn rate in general, outside of the North Coast and Marshlands, and never spawn in the Archipelago and South Coast regions. I don’t recall seeing them often in the Mountains, either. They have an even more depressing rate of converting to rivals, probably because there aren’t enough of them spawning.
I’ve destroyed nearly all the machines in my world, my threat levels are crap because nothing is spawning, and outside of being guaranteed to have a Firebird annoying 3 specific bases (we all know which ones they are, don’t we?), shooting it up and nearly destroying it because they spawn too close to the bases and fire on them as soon as you fast travel to them, I don’t get many other soviet machines popping in. There are a few areas I call battlefields, where Lynxes might be engaged briefly with tanks and harvesters, but I don’t have a lot of Wolves or Firebirds outside of some very specific locations that takes days to regen.
I’m aware of that. I would say I always had a battlefield in most northern part of Mountain region but now it seems to be gone also?
Wouldn’t say I noticed less Russian machines, especially not Firebirds. But the loot I got from “usual” birds. That’s some extra! Will do the same route tomorrow and see if it’s the same. If it is, it’s more 5C stuff than the Vulture or Reaper gives for a fraction of ammo used.
Ah. I see. Reapers and Vultures aren’t loot pinatas. They’re bonus boss fights to reward you for fighting harder variants. They give some exclusive loot, and aren’t supposed to be where you get 5C gear from. They’re what you use 5C gear on. You’re supposed to be getting your 5C gear from Rivals, particularly FNIX (or Soldier) and Apocalypse (or Spetnaz) Class. They have the highest drop rates.
My complaint is that I don’t see enough Soviets to make summoning a Vulture viable, and it pisses me off. I can summon Reapers all day long, but I have had 20 Soviet Coords for the last month because I don’t have any Soviet Rivals in my game, and that makes me angry.
Bringing this up again, because there is definitely something wrong with Rival Firebirds that aren’t Rivals.
Went on another chaos walk along the entire northern side starting from Forest Region in the east and to the west today. Lost track of how many Firebirds I downed, more than 12-13 at least. First some east of Hagaboda, no Rivals, normal loot from them.
When I reach Hagaboda and before I reach the next safehouse in the church at Stenmyra in the west, I had fought with 3 Firebirds, one of which gave me Rival loot. Vulture coordinate data, golden guns and attachments and skin for the flak moped and some of the rare metals. It didn’t had any Rival Name or level, just a “regular” Firebird but acted as a Rival dropping all sort of shit on me.
From the safehouse in Stenmyra I continued north-west for the island where it use to be two Tanks, needed them for the dailys and there is 2 more of the Firebirds in battles with the Tanks. Both using all sort of arming in the fight and when I downed the first it disappeared and the other took a bath out of reach - Unconfirmed but acted as Rivals.
Continued and cutted south-west to the safehouse Anl 118 south of Norrmyra. From there to town of Garphammar south of and Ramsboda to the east there is a triangle always filled with battles, and Firebirds.
Took a number of them down, fought over who would get to kill Tanks, and 3 more gave resistance as a Rival Firebird and again gave loot as a Rival Firebird. But only 1 of them was marked as a Rival Firebird. That Rival btw, was the same and only Rival Firebird I had left when I started the thread 2 weeks ago. No others have leveld up to Rival since then.
It’s the same area as last time, Marshland and North Coast Region west of Hagaboda.
PC, updated WIN 11 and drivers on Steam - And no mod ever used on GZ!
I was able to finally summon a Vulture for the first time in a month because I finally had a third rival spawn to give me the last few coords I need for it, That seems like the rival creation rate for Soviet rivals is a tad low.
Russian Rivals vs Swedish Rivals. Would say I have 4x or 5x more Swedish rivals in total all over map.
Don’t know if Wolf’s has this problem too, have some rolling around but ZERO Firebirds left.
Got 122 coords from just one of those “non”-rival Firebirds today.
In total with the 80+ I had and the 122 and coords from the other 2 “non”-rivals I may be able to spawn in 2 Vultures now.
The Soviet machines are only in about half of the northern regions. Marshlands, no control point/bases, north coast, no control point/ bases, forest region, which has control points, farmlands and also has control points. South coast has control points, but no Soviet machines have made it there…YET. And you will not find them in southern areas of the regions they do spawn in.
Soviet rivals are quite common in the north coast, (common for them to be a firebird), some in the marshlands and very few times in the forest region. If a soviet rival spawns in the farmlands it most likely will be a lynx or wolf, but there has been a stray firebird turn into a rival. Farmland has the easiest rivals whereas north coast and marshlands can get intense battles.
