So just a small bit of feedback on the general aesthetics of the guns, firstly THEY’RE REALLY GOOD i love the way they are beefier versions of the AG5 and AI-76 respectfully. So the bulk of this feedback is on the 89 itself, and just like my jacket bug report this isn’t necessary just would be a nice added touch;
It’d be nice to have the tritium sights on the 89, those sights have become synonymous with the guns being the max level and it would be cool to see maybe even the whole outer iron sight be pure tritium just so it feels like a proper apex level weapon.
Second request will maybe be harder to implement so it’s okay if this doesn’t happen, but it’d be nice to have the 89 be a bit shinier, just to get it to match the AG5’s look a little further, one of my favorite aspects of the AG5 is how you can see your arm reflected in the gun while holding it, and it’d be real nice to have the same “mirror coat” effect on the 89.
As for the 59 it’d be nice to have the outer iron sights tritium point just a little wider/bigger, again for that apex level gun feel.
Overall though love the new LMGs you guys did yet another amazing job replicating the sounds, look, feel and power of these weapons into the world of GZ.
What will you mainly be using the LMG’s for, @tene?
Yesterday I found the 3* KVM89 in the eastern artillery base. I equipped it with the 3* ext. mag, a 4* silencer and a red dot scope. I combated a few hunters and runners with it, and my first impression was that this is a short range weapon. The weapon was too inaccurate to efficiently fight Runners any more than 30-40 meters away. I switched to iron sights, and then it felt a little bit easier to control. Compared to the AG5 it really just felt like a waste of ammo. Spraying at armored targets with a small caliber ain’t very useful, so I think you need to be close enough to be sure you hit vital components.
I can imagine it works like a charm for picking off the exposed components on Harvesters and Tanks.
I’m hoping to find a decent quality 59, and that it packs a bit more punch than the 89.
Maybe you’re working on a video on the LMG’s?
Hope you’re enjoying the new content of Alpine Unrest. I certainly do.
I’m looking at them as my priority tank buster myself, i’ll likely use them on harvy’s too I’m not too sure about doggo’s or hunters, so far it seems like with the doggo’s erratic movement and the high RoF the gun might be at a deficit in comparison to a standard battle rifle, and for hunters you need to aim for the weapon most times, but it works really well in CQC with hunters so still not positive on how i feel for LMG v hunters
It definitely is a short to medium range weapon, i’d personally advise using the compensator instead of the silencer, just to reduce the overall recoil and improve your ability to train the gun on certain components, it can chew through tanks really well. But that’s at the 5 crown version not so much the earlier ones, i had a 4 crown and it didn’t have anywhere close to the same effect in combat! I think with the repetitive recoil from it the red dot sight doesn’t quite do it justice either, but i feel that way about most things (ie; shotgun scopes or magnus scope) and really only prefer scopes on low recoil weapons then iron sights for everything else!
I definitely will be! you know me man Doing the same comparison i’ve done in the past for accuracy and RoF, and with these i’ll be seeing which is more effective at tank busting i think Most likely you’ll see it by the end of the week!
Glad you are my dude, i think Alpine’s been one of the best DLC i’ve played in the last few years, absolutely love how it’s expanded on the story, and the LMG’s are satisfying to use even if a tad wasteful at times
I agree on the compensator, but the silencer is all I have at the moment.
I hate to whine about it here on the forum, but as you might have guessed I don’t have a lot of time for gaming anymore. 3-6 hours pr. week is all I get.
That means my progress is rather slow, and going on long farming runs feels like a bad use of my time.
I’t also means I’m still stuck with a lot of 4* weapons.
My current loadout is as follows:
5* Magnus, 4* AG4, 4* AG5, 6* PVG90, 5* M/49.
My attachments are 50/50 4* and 5*.
I have all the 5* fixed drops + a useless 5* .243 Meusser I got from a Harvester, long ago.
I just saw your new video on farming tanks on Himfjäll. Very helpful btw, so thanks.
I’m gonna try a run before I do more missions, and I really hope some luck will come my way soon.
Yeah man grinding for weapons can be hard when you don’t have hours to game away if your job is constricting or if you are a parent or anything, i’ve seen that lots of times across the forums and in comments on yt
Well i hope RNG is good to you! luckily my route for himfjall isn’t super time consuming so you should be able to get at least one or two runs in through your typical gaming sesh I’d advise doing so the LMGs are beastly. Just did a test on max level apoco rivals today, and the 59 was awesome!
That’s one thing i’d like to add as a bit of feed back here that the 59 is the much more powerful gun so the 89 really falls kinda flat when you compare them side by side. D:
Yep, I’ve worked 40 hour weeks since I was 17, so that’s fine, but add a wife and a kid to the picture… Well, I went from gaming 6 hours a day to 6 hours a week.
Oh, man! That sounds awesome!
All I want for christmas is some 6* guns and a 5* KVM 59!
