As soon as I step into the world, I fall through it… Tried different spawn points.

Right, the only way I’ve got out of this was to spawn back to the first safe house you start at. If you are like Alice down the rabbit hole, you’ll need to bring up the menu ( while falling ) and fast travel. Once your on level ground, just quit out through main menu.

On Xbox I had the same experience. Had to do a restart (not just “turning off”) to get my feet on solid ground again.
It is a well known bug but as others have said it is fixable, so please don’t give up on the game.
Playing on PC I have only had this happen to me once on a rock at the coastline as I was going north to Viktorp. I was “rabbit-holing” I was able to bring up the menu and fast travel back to Stenudden lighthouse safehouse which stabilised the game.
As others have said, it has been established that the only workaround for this bug is to quit the game entirely, and start over. It’s uncertain exactly why it happens, but it’s not the first time I’ve seen a bug like this in open world games so it could be some kind of terrain rendering issue. I’m sure we’ll see it fixed in the future
