Keyboard disconnect

hey, so for the last weeks or so i have had some issues whit my keyboard disconnects and connects whit a move key pressed fairly often. when it reconnects the light is on but no buttons work. how to fix this is now manually disconnect and reconnect to get it to work normaly again.
sadly this is getting annoying to do since my keyboard are on the back of my computer

Not the proper forum where to post your hardware issue. Tom’s Hardware forums would be much better suited.

Still;

  • full system specs with KB make and model (or part number) are?
  • plug your KB into another USB slot and look if there is any difference.
  • test your KB with another PC/device to see if the issue carries over.
  • take another, known to work and problem free KB, and try it with your PC. Does the issue remain?
  • does the issue appear only in GZ or in other applications as well?

KB are a steelseries apex 350, dosnt have problems on other games, tried swapping to another usb but still the same. tried diffrent kb’s but got the same problem there

Let’s try Off-Topic for this one

The 2nd KB you tried, was that the same brand (SteelSeries) or other brand (e.g Corsair, Logitech etc)? And did you buy both KB’s as brand new or used from 2nd hand market?

Also, is the problem only with GZ or with other applications as well?

Oh, MoBo make and model + OS is?

I have some issues with buttons not working, but it happens only after ALT+TAB’bing.

I don’t know is Steam overlay has anything to do with it - try to disable it.

Do you use steelseries engine(SSE) with that KB and if so how is the engine software updated?
If you recently updated from SSE2 to SSE3 that could be part of the issue, I’m reading from doing a quick google search on problems for that keyboard.

tried with Logitech, same issue after around 10 min gametime that a button locks a nano sec before the disconnect.
both more or less brand new.
this problem i only have in Generation Zero

Tried, same issue. i can start up the game like normal, play it for 10 min upto an hour without probs.

yes, checked drivers, game files and diffrent options ingame whit no luck im afraid

That keyboard has 2 USB plugs that should both be in the same type of port Usb2 or 3 to avoid conflicts.
Are both your plugs hooked to the same type of inputs?

Are you powering any type of accessory through the passthrough(USB Hub) on the keyboard?

Googling the issues give quite alot of users with simular problem to yours but I havent found a real solution in any of the threads yet.
One person had ASUS support tell him his motherboard(Z170-A) wasnt compatibale with the keyboards new firmware…

Well these questions don’t really matter since youre still also getting the disconnects using the logitech keyboard or did you perhaps plug the logitech keyboard into the Apex350 one when you tried it?

Since the problem appeared within the last week and not from the beginning, something changed either within software (e.g OS) or hardware (e.g MoBo).

I’ve asked system specs twice now, still no answer.
Without knowing which OS you have and if it’s legit or pirated, it’s impossible to suggest any possible software fixes. Same with hardware, without knowing what you’re running (CPU, MoBo, RAM, GPU, storage drives, PSU, etc), we can’t look into hardware conflicts either.

i do use an icebox connecter for it to use the same type of USB, have tried diffrent things but to no luck, thats why i went here to the forums

for the last 3 weeks after an game update.
using Windows 10 home tho.
specs: gefore 1050 Ti whit 8gb
16gb ram, not sure what kind.
i do have this game in main storage SSD
intel I7 prossessor with 2.80GHz, this is without boost.
dunno what else to include

Legit or pirated?

That isn’t right. There is no GTX 1050 Ti GPUs out there that have 8GB of VRAM. All GTX 1050 Ti GPUs have 4GB of VRAM. So, which GPU you actually have?

Which Core i7 specifically? Since there are several 2.8 Ghz i7 CPUs out there, both old timers (e.g i7-860) and newer ones (e.g i7-6700T). What i’m more interested is your MoBo make and model since i have a suspicion of it being possible culprit, especially when it’s older model.

It could be that there was some error downloading the update. Here, validating game files via Steam and/or uninstalling and reinstalling the game might help.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17763) (17763.rs5_release.180914-1434)

BIOS: GL553VE.306 (type: UEFI)

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz

4 GB GDDR5 SDRAM

Should cover it all

windows are legit.
validating are ok. gonna try remove and reinstall the game. se if the problem persist

seems to work ok for now, reinstalled the game and removed and reinstalled the driver for KB
